This whale watching trip is best for someone who wants at well-rounded trip and not maximized whale watching time. As you are on a larger boat, it is slower and it takes about 3 hours to get to the whales. Then we only had 20-30 minutes to watch the orcas before we had to leave to dock at Friday Harbour.... More

This trip went off flawlessly as my son and I spent a day cruising through all of the San Juan Islands enjoying an expedition with several other interested whale watchers. The San Juan Cruises really outdo themselves due to the friendliness, accomodations, amount of food, and knowledge of the whole crew. We also saw an amazing pod of Transient Orca... More

This is not a whale watching cruise, this is an Island cruise and history lesson. Very nice if you are looking for that experience. Whale watching happens by chance only because they have a fixed schedule an it has about 30% successful. I feel very disappointed with the advertising of whale watching, which was our main purpose for such a... More

We are sorry that you didn't see whales the day you went out with us. Throughout this season we have had a 90% success rate, but there are occasionally days where they are too far out of range for us. We always try to find as much wildlife as possible, including bald eagles, seals, sea lions and porpoises. We also... More

A wonderful day was had by our party of four, along with a very pleasant and happy group of other watchers, and, as always, great captain and crew. Everything is done professionally and perfectly. This cruise along with the unWINEd on the Bay, the BREWers Cruise, Sucia Island Picnic Cruise and the Crab Cruise make for a fun-filled summer each... More

We took our brother and wife from Texas (and others) on this cruise to show them the area from the water. Unbelievable time and food. Received our tickets at the counter with no problem (had reservations). Cruise left on time and lasted the full 3 hours. You cannot believe how pretty it was. The skipper showed us all the sights... Two friends, my niece and I went on this trip on 08.08.14. We lucked out with the weather. Couldn't have been more perfect. The crew was awesome. Very informative and kept the trip interesting. We saw 3 different orca pods. What a thrill! We all live in the area but have never seen orca in "real life". Just fantastic. The... More

My brother and I went on the whale watching cruise in the San Juan Islands with our visiting cousins and aunt on August 4th on the 100ft Victoria Star. The day was perfect, from sunny weather to a real show by the very active Orcas (including one that swam straight toward us and under the boat!). The buffet was good... More

What a fun day! To see whales, sea lions, deer, beautiful birds and learn a little about the islands makes for a great experience. The crew on the boat works so hard to make sure the lunch aboard is ready for all the hungry guest. No paper plates on this boat....real plates and silverware. If you don't own a boat, take... More

Too much ecological discussion. Pretty night on the water. Interesting to see the port. However it was really BORING!!!

We are sorry you didn't enjoy our Bellingham Bay Future Waterfront Tour. While it is meant to be an educational / informative look at the waterfront, it is also intended as a nice way to get out on the water and enjoy the view. We have a variety of other tours, some of which have little-to-no narration, so hopefully you'll... More

This is a fantastic cruise anytime you are visiting Bellingham and the San Juan Islands. The crew were very helpful, hard working and did a fantastic job keeping us educated, entertained and very well fed. The boat is very comfortable and laid out with friends and families in mind. I really enjoyed Friday Harbor with all the shops and art... More
