We visited in late October. We walked to the pond (1/2 mile or so). The trail was a little rough and the pond view was just okay. Nothing spectacular. The gardens were of course pretty much done with and we had no expectations there. The store is well stocked with their goods (lavender a specialty). The picnic area wasn't near... More

WOW! This is an amazing place. It is off the beaten path, so be prepared for that. BUT IT IS WORTH IT! The proprietor is hands on and there to give you a tour or answer your questions. This is an herb farm, garden, butterfly exhibit, sanctuary all in one. She has a unique gift shop with products made from... More

Drove 40 min out on a horrible gravel road and the place was gated and had a sign that said open THURS- SAT. And that was during summer vacation season - that was not indicated anywhere and even our hotel manager was very surprised. We bought some of their products in our hotel shop- sad we couldn't actually go out... More

It was great fun to meet Ellen. The knowledge she shared with me was priceless. The butterflies and funny caterpillars were fun to watch. The herb information will really help me enlarge my own herbal garden. It is a great place to visit.

Thanks so much for your kind words. We appreciate you taking the time to come visit and it was our pleasure to show you what we have to offer. This was a great place to spend a relaxing summer afternoon. We explored the gardens, walked down to the pond, visited the butterfly habitat and then just relaxed in the shade. Ellen was very generous with her time, showing us around and answering all our questions.

Worth the drive out in the country. Ellen has a wonderful place, lots of things to do and see. Stop by the gift shop for soaps, and lavender related products. Bring a picnic, sit and enjoy the sights and sounds.

We visited this place at least once a year for the past few years, sometimes more. Found about it in a brochure. My family and I love the butterfly garden and in the fall of this year, 2014, we went there to tag and release monarch butterflies and the kids loved it! will go back as many times as we... More

What an awesome place! I didn't know that the farm had closed for the season just the weekend prior to my visit. But the owner graciously invited me to browse the gift shop filled with all sorts of soaps, lotions, etc. made right there on the farm. I will definitely make a return visit in the spring or summer when... More
