This was a great place to spend a relaxing summer afternoon. We explored the gardens, walked down to the pond, visited the butterfly habitat and then just relaxed in the shade. Ellen was very generous with her time, showing us around and answering all our questions.

Worth the drive out in the country. Ellen has a wonderful place, lots of things to do and see. Stop by the gift shop for soaps, and lavender related products. Bring a picnic, sit and enjoy the sights and sounds.

We visited this place at least once a year for the past few years, sometimes more. Found about it in a brochure. My family and I love the butterfly garden and in the fall of this year, 2014, we went there to tag and release monarch butterflies and the kids loved it! will go back as many times as we... More

What an awesome place! I didn't know that the farm had closed for the season just the weekend prior to my visit. But the owner graciously invited me to browse the gift shop filled with all sorts of soaps, lotions, etc. made right there on the farm. I will definitely make a return visit in the spring or summer when... More

I had met the owner of this farm at a conference and finally found the time to visit. My sister and I drove down and found it easily by following the directions on their website. It was a cool, overcast Sunday in September and we were the only visitors, so we had a private tour from Ellen, one of the... More

Went for a visit to this herb farm with a photography club in hopes of maybe getting a few good pictures, which I did but I was truly captivated by peace and natural beauty of this place. We were made to feel very comfortable and treated with respect. We also had a very informative walk through the butterfly garden.I was just... More

So glad you enjoyed your visit. I wish the weather had been a little more ideal but that is one of the many things we can not control. Look forward to showing you the property in the fall. Thanks again for the kind words. More

Definitely make sure you have a copy of the directions with you as you head here. Go to the website for the directions so that you know all of the particulars; it's not difficult to get to, but it does take a little longer to get there than you might expect due to a (well-maintained) gravel road. Just allow enough... More

Thanks for the kind words and I am glad you found the visit informational too. As for the pond, it is a 2 acre gem down on one of our trails. We are always open to suggestions and I will upload some better pictures and I do appreciate you sharing some of the wonderful shots you took while visiting us.... More

We were so impressed with this interesting find. Don't let the bumpy road fool you-keep driving for a delightful afternoon experience. Miss Ellen is passionate about her garden and butterflies. Make sure you sample some of her homemade lotions and soaps! We are so glad we came.

If you're in the Wytheville area make time to visit Beagle Ridge. The natural beauty, the herb garden and the butterfly house make this a little slice of Heaven. A definite "must do".
