There is so much to do here! Picnic on the tables, or reserve a pavilion. Different playgrounds for kids of different ages. Walk the shore of the Potomac, cross the state line in the middle of the pier. Learn a little bit if history with the different displays. I was a bit disappointed by the small fenced frog/turtle habitat. I... More

Lots to do here - boat dock, picnic, hike, fish, bird watch, enjoy water views and historic sites, and even shop at small store.

Leesylvania State Park is a somewhat obscure park in Woodbridge that has a little history along hiking trails, fishing and boating....but perhaps the biggest draw is that it is situated along an impressively expansive body of water...the confluence of two rivers that stretch out for over a mile it seems. There is a cliff overlooking the water with a very... More

Bring the kids. A chance to learn and hike to and stand on history. Really nice picknic and play grounds. Fairly safe for bicycling and walking, share the road. Lots of hiking trails, not much off road for bikes. All, types of boating, I don't recommend swimming, people do. I used to ride in year round on my on my... More

Our family has been here numerous times for Cub Scout day camp, family picnics, fun in the sun in the sand by the Potomac, geocaching, camping, canoeing, and hiking. VSPs are usually a great place to visit at a great price and this park is no exception.

When is the water going to be safe to eat the fish? No where to rent boats. Cost is high to get in. Lots of out of town-ers. You can never find a table or place to sit. To many people. Trashy around the water and table areas. This place is a mess. Close to home and cannot use it... More

The park has a nice beach area for you to picnic and play. I also use it to walk the trails. The area is so beautiful. During the summer the weekends are often extremely quiet, so go during the week or early weekend mornings.
