This is a fun and challenging golf course which I have been playing for eight years. The course itself is immaculately maintained with woods on most holes. There are also a couple of ponds and creeks along the way. The greens are fairly spacious and some are sloping adding to the challenges of each hole. Some times the greens are... More

Very hard course for the older and average golfer. The woman of the trip really had a hard time with the course. Pretty course and nice people.

My hubby & I seek out mountainous golf courses, b/c we like the adventure of good mtn golf. Devils Knob was very beautiful and very well maintained, and relatively easy. It was also really busy. We both play the reg men's tees (white tees), and we are above average golfers. Most tees are elevated and most greens are also elevated.... More

Fantastic golf course carved into the blue ridge mountains. It's relatively short so if you hit a straight ball you have a chance. However, the greens have a lot of unanticipated breaks. Located at 3800 feet above sea level it's the perfect course for June, July and August. It's great in the fall too when the leaves are turning.

We played with a group of 8 and had a great afternoon. It is a narrow course and easy to lose balls, but if you enjoy being outside with beautiful views and wooded areas, this is the course for you. It is more difficult than Stoney Brooke in the valley, but DK is located on top of the mountain and... More

Only allows members to golf. And Rich political personnel. Do not ever go unless you are desperate. There is plenty of other places to golf . And it is run by a alot of corrupt rich people

Leaves, not only in the boundaries, but in the long rough made it tough to find anything not in the fairway.

I stayed at the Wintergreen resort on a stay and play package. It was a great deal. The golf course is magnificant. I played Devils Knob which is the members course but you get access to it by staying at the resort. The golf course is tough, cut through the trees, up and down the mountain, and visually very pleasing.... More

We were a group of 10 with two non golfers, so perfect for two foursomes. The upper course was in great shape. It was set up tough as it was their members championship weekend. The weather was perfect a little nippy early (wind shirt) but then just gorgeous. We all played up top Thursday and Saturday with a round at... More

Devils Knob is a very well maintained mountain course in the Wintergreen, VA ski resort. As would be expected, the course has a number of elevation changes being on the mountain. Also as to be expected, because this is primarily a ski resort there are a number of homes and condos lining the course. The course is rather short and... More
