For anyone who enjoys gardens, easy walking paths with a great variety of plantings, almost all labeled for easy identification. Fun and interesting features throughout the garden from formal gardens, vegetables, a kitchen herbal, to spots of whimsy. More

The gardens were very beautiful. We enjoyed the house, but felt that we didn't get what we expected. Lovely house though and beautiful decor. More

In the mean time we will have to satisfy ourselves with the museum which has a new exhibit every few months and the dozens of events held there annually. My favorite time to visit is in the... More

Very interesting house with historical artifacts but tour let down by our temporary guide who struggled to remember anything and kept referring to his notes. More

Plan to visit just the gardens as the mansion will be under renovation for over a year. But the gardens and grounds around the house are worth the visit. More

The house tour starts with a brief video explaining the history of the house and grounds, featuring an interview with the garden's long-time (and late) caretaker. In the nearby carriage house there's a nice model of the house. It's worth checking out since only the lower floor of the house is open to visitors due to local fire regulations. The... More

I was in Winchester for a few days visiting my boyfriend and his family. I had never been to the area before so I knew little about the history (beyond what I learned in high school about the Civil War). We went to the MSV and the Gardens and took a tour of the house (each has its own price... More
