You will be introduced to the historic importance of each site visited, you will hear of the local ghostly legends that surround them, and of recent encounters with the spirits that reside there. Our Walk About History tour is a one-hour introduction to the history of Williamsburg - its historical importance, development in the 18th century, glimpses into daily life of colonial inhabitants, and modern restoration. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. There were several stories for each place we stopped, and she was willing (and more than able) to answer any questions anyone on the tour had. She also shared some of her personal experiences and was very interactive with the group. Would definitely recommend!

We took the 6:30 walking tour on Halloween night. I do not remember the name of our tour guide but I will say she was great. She started right in with her tour behind Shield's Tavern and kept going during the next hour plus. She answered all the questions put to her in a very professional, knowledgeable manner with a... The costumed history tellers around the town and on the tour buildings were fabulous. They had a great way of telling the facts. They made the town become alive for all ages. Especially if children were in the tour group, the guides made sure they were included in conversation and experience. We had a fabulous experience!

We spent two evenings in a row with Trish, our guide. She didn't waste time, jumping right in and amazing us with her vast knowledge, on both tours. She always took the time to ask if we had questions, and make sure we were comfortable. I was most taken with all the little bits of info she managed to weave... More

Joey led our tour and was awesome. We took the 8 o'clock tour on a Saturday night. My 15 year old daughter and 11 year old son called it the highlight of our weekend in Williamsburg. They're still talking about it to their friends.

I've enjoyed the walking your for all the facts I learned. Did you know williamsburgs award winning oak was only 60-70yrs old. Joey knows. He has the greatest knowledge of any of the guides I've followed through the downtown area. If you have a free night and Joey is available, you'll never spend the early evening more entertained. We recently enjoyed an evening Ghost Tour with WWT and hosted by Trish. We met at 6:30 (shortly before dark in Oct ) and the tour lasted an hour. The walk included visits to residences of many influential colonists, all with an interesting tale in their own time and still today! Trish has unbound knowledge of this piece of Virginia... More

Saturday evening 5 of us (3 women; 2 men) took this tour. What a blast! Our guide, Trish, was delightful. Her knowledge went far beyond what you usually find on a tour like this. Her presentation was relaxed and fun. We had such a good time and were so impressed with Trish, that we are going to go back to... More

We enjoyed our visit to Williamsburg. Learned some new history and enjoyed the stories that were told during the tours. My wife had to use a scooter as cannot do much walking and even she said it was a great visit. There are lots to see so our recommendation would be to purchase the 3 day pass. It is well... More
