Wonderful cruise ! Staff were very good & informative. They found several great pods of dolphins & then surprise a hump back whale ! It was so exciting and all for only $20 a person. It was the highlight of our trip !

The little girl who sold us tickets was very friendly and also the boat crew. The boat was clean and very nice. We went whale watching out of Portland Maine a few years ago, and the rudee boats are much bigger and cleaner. We did not get to see any wildlife but we enjoyed the boat ride, and the full... More

This was the only activity we were able to do in Virginia beach, this trip was worth every second. The explanation was the best we ever experienced..the guides are all employees of the Virginia aquarium. They pay a lot of respect to the dolphins..don't come to close etc. But we were so pleased to see a lot of dolphins on... More

My boyfriend and I went on the dolphin-watching boat ride that the Rudee Flipper had to offer. We had a fantastic time! The staff was accommodating and helpful the whole time, and also very informative. At the beginning of the trip, we rode out into the ocean from Rudee Inlet in search of dolphins. One of the ladies from the... More

We did the dolphin cruise and it was nice. The center of the boat has concessions & is climate controlled. It's a nice way to see the boardwalk too. Don't worry about going crazy trying to get pictures of the dolphins right away. They'll give you plenty of chances. (no need to run out of space or battery!:) We got... More

It is a very fun trip to take with or without kids. Sit on the sides cuz if you sit in the front people will stand right in front of you. We got to see some dolphins. Very cool things. They sell the photos for $9 but they turn out really good. Have lots of ice cream and snacks and... More

Just ask how the sea is before you go and the staff are helpful in telling you if it is rough. The boat just cruises very close to the coast and not much into the sea. As we went north for about 1/2 hr, we found several dolphins very close to the coast. The captain was very considerate to the... More

After reading many reviews my family was skeptical but decided to give rudee's a try. The whole experience was wonderful and I'm relieved that we did not follow the advice of others in this site. My family if four paid $130 for a 4 hour fishing tour. Four hours seemed a little too long for our 5 and 9 year... More

Although it was raining and even lightning some when our boat took off (I was a little nervous about the lightning), the trip ended up being very nice. We saw lots of dolphins and even had a wake-jumper by our boat. Great scenery and information. Definitely worth the cost!

Went for the sunset cruise. We got there an it was a madhouse and parking was not adequate. Then everyone gets sardined on the boat. The sign stated clearly max occupancy for upper deck was 26 and there were clearly more people than that. My first reaction to my wife after looking at my 2 infants is we should get... More
