The Sanctuary was a nice getaway from the fast paced world that we are all apart of. Away from the strip, but close enough if you need that kind of atmosphere. It was a wonderful place to spend a family vacation. The beach is clean, nice, and not too crowded.

This is a beach to get away from people and tourists--a favorite for locals and travelers. Quiet but close enough to VA Beach for action if you are looking for it.

I took my daughter and best friend to this beach for a photo shoot. The beach was clean, there was parking right across the street and the view was AMAZING! I can't WAIT to go back!

I drive by there now and then. I have been there several times in 41 years. It is a nice drive and the scenery is nice. The beach area looks nice also.

We visited pre-memorial day and everywhere was sooo quiet. This is a mainly residential area which we preferred to the boardwalk/main town area. The beach is long stretch of great sands with all the wildlife you'd expect from VA. Just beautiful. If you are not staying around there be careful with the parking, it's minImal.
