I loved the boardwalk. There were no activities while I was there, but I'm sure they would be fantastic as well!

Unobstructed ocean front views. Only negative is bicycles using the walking and jogging route instead of the separate bike path

Walking, running, skating, biking or sitting -- whatever your pleasure you'll enjoy the sights and sound of the Virginia Beach oceanfront. The boardwalk stretches several miles along sandy beaches, resort hotels and open air restaurants. Very family friendly environment that creates a festive, relaxing experience. Don't miss it.

We stayed on the oceanfront during a recent stay in Virginia Beach, and had easy access to the boardwalk. We enjoyed walking along the concrete path, which we took down to a local museum and the pier. There were Christmas lights along the way, which were lit at night. We noticed cars driving through the arched Christmas lights at night,... More

The room was very nice and clean. Everything was in the area we never had to drive. I will be going back.

If you don't miss the sound of clunkity wood under your feet, this is the cleanest boardwalk and beach I've ever seen in the mid-Atlantic - long too. If you can come during winter holidays (which is what we did) the Holiday of Lights on the boardwalk is fantastic - truly. It's the one time of year you can drive... More

It has the amenities you'd expect with a boardwalk including the beach view and benches for resting. It's widely paved with frequently placed paths to the beach. Being winter, most shopping was closed. The holiday lights were lit every night during our visit. What a fun adventure to walk/ride and enjoy.

Ride bikes, run, stroll...doesn't matter what your preference, you are able to enjoy the beach while checking out the local spots.

From the jogging path the the actual shore and ocean, there is PLENTY of room for you and your family. The beach is not curved and short like in the heavenly Keppel Island area, or Shoalwater Bay, but it is long and free and clean and roomy so go for that long run Jason Bourne. You are in Virginia Beach... More
