The boardwalk was beautiful. The city was beginning to put up Christmas lights on the boardwalk and beach.

The Christmas light display is spectacular to walk through. According to the sign $8 to dive through. The boardwalk is clean and safe for all ages. I have enjoyed people watching from the balcony. Lots of diehard excercisers the week I observed (very cold and windy) during the off season the rules are relaxed and bikers will be on the... More

I've been to Virginia Beach several times. This boardwalk is amazing and well maintained. The view of the ocean is stunning. I like to run on the boardwalk early in the morning and I’m not the only one ;) There is a bike lane as well and there are a ton of place where you can rent a bike or... More

The boardwalk was lively but not crazy. Our 7 year old loved renting the peddle car and travelling up the boardwalk. It was nice to just walk the boardwalk at night and hear the different music.

There was a HUGE statue of Neptune that was pretty nice to see during our walk. The "boardwalk" is actually a nice, wide cement walkway....not wood. Very clean and well lit also.

The best time to visit the boardwalk is during the holiday the festival of lights. We go there almost every year and I never get tired of seeing all the christmas decorations.

My kids find the boardwalk exciting, but I don't care for the crowds and the same old stores every three blocks. On our last visit we were asked for money several times, sad...

We enjoyed our visit to the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. It is clean, well maintained, beautiful, and full of people having fun. The beach is lovely with dolphins frolicking just off shore. The boardwalk allows for easy walking, people watching, and dining. The bicycles for a group are lots of fun too. Our family would definitively enjoy a return trip.

Not sure why this is called a Boardwalk because it's 3 miles of "nice & wide" concrete. We enjoyed the walk & view of the ocean every day of our 7 day "off-season" stay in Virginia Beach. From the 10th floor of our oceanfront resort we could view the boardwalk from our balcony as well as walk the 40 block... More
