This park is a center piece for the city of Virginia beach. It was formed by a mountain of trash and covered with sod and has been around since the early 70's. . The park is for everyone. Kite flyers, children, dog walkers, bike riders, walkers, runners. It has a large pond, a large path, play grounds. They have charity... More

We love our Mt Trashmore park. Its a great place to go for a walk with the dog. It can be a bit croweded in the afternoon but there is plenty of room to roam. THere is a nice playground for the little ones and a skate park for the adventurous. They really need a dog park added and I... More

I spent an hour here this morning walking around the lake and up and back down the hill, it was beautiful and very clean. The play area for children is amazing, I wish I had a place like this to take my Granddaughter to back home. I felt very safe and all the people at the park were so friendly.... More

This is a large park in Virginia Beach that is a favorite of many locals. It literally used to be a landfill that they have repurposed into a city park. Don't expect to be able to sled down the hill during any snowstorms though, due to liability reasons they guard it like Fort Knox to prevent you from doing so.... More

they'll love this. If you don't, just drive by it and you'll have experienced all you want just knowing it was a pile of trash that was covered and now people are playing on it. No smell, you can walk to the top and down if you're healthy. Great place to go for the fireworks IF you get there early... More

I have been to mount trashmore several times and I really like it. There is a lot to do as far as picnics, kite flying, running, riding bikes, and several other things. It is really big and family friendly. I recommend family's in the area to stop by.

There are exercise trails around the park, fun playgrounds, a skate park, picnic areas, a lake, and a hill perfect for flying kites. This is a great example of what can be done to a former landfill. The success of the design and planning of this park can be seen by the many people we saw using this place --... More

Clean park, nice for families to sit, picnic, let kids romp! Nicer than anticipated for a sit down in the open air getting away from traffic on busy Holland Road and Virginia Beach Town Center during a "rush hour." Good parking!
