Great for the kids

Great place for family outing. Geared more toward Park like atmosphere. There are also trails, and picnic areas.

This a great park to take a hike or a jog. A local trash dump that was reclaimed by VA Beach. There are now lots of trails to go around, including a lake. They have caped the landfill and there is large hills that you can run up or do steps. Great exercise.

Mt. Trashmore has seen it's better days. Grass is usually worn and Kids Cove usually has trash and overflowing garbage. The lake would be a great place to fish with the children but not recommended because the high grass waterfowl droppings.

We visit this play ground every time we are in Virginia Beach. Tons of parking, easy access, giant play grounds for all ages, clean bathrooms and safe. Always a stop,to let the kids get their wiggles out before we go to the airport or drive back south to Cape Hatteras.

Everyone needs to see what a city can do with an old dump. They are brilliant! A must see while you're here and the playground for kids is excellent. For those of you who enjoy American Indian history there is a famous totem pole here carved by Peter Toth. It's down at the base of the hill under the trees... More

I have always loved coming here and taking a relaxing walk. Years ago you were able to feed the geese and such. You can climb the "mountain" made from refuse too. Quite a nice addition to Virginia Beach.

We went to the park while visiting Virginia Beach. I love to walk and was happy to find a place to do so. It looks like it would be a nice place to take a family for an afternoon.
