This little course south of NAS Oceana is a must play in Va Beach. It's one of the best public courses, especially for the price. The layout is challenging and fun. No gimmicks...no boring straight away holes. Just a lot of fun. The ONLY reason it doesn't get 5 stars....they seemed to have no idea on managing pace of play.... More

Very fun course. The staff was very friendly. The only negative was there was no starter, and a very slow group failed to see us waiting at the first tee, which led to a slow front 9 behind them. Good course for those who have a variety of skill levels in their group. Great variety of birds along course- even... More

This VA Beach gem is as well maintained a municipal golf course as you will find. Well kept and playable, the course gets more interesting with each hole. All the while you encounter great VA beach back-bay wildlife that helps you forget the bad swing and reminds you to stop and smell the roses. A worthy stop if you are... More

Since this course was remodeled years ago it has made it a little easier to play . They took out a lot of bunkers and added some sloped fairways to help with drainage. Greens are flat which makes for some easy putting , but don't let it fool you with that speedy Bermuda greens !! Pricing was fair but the... More

Played after 1pm for $35.00 for cart and green fees. Course and greens were in good shape but could have used a course Marshall. We had a foursome in front of us that played really slow and had everything backed up. The staff was very friendly at check-in and club house was nice and clean. We will definitely play it... More

There have recently been a string of break-ins in the parking lot. Car windows have been smashed and personal belongings stolen. No signs have been posted warning golfers and the staff is not notifying people or patrolling the lot. It has happened three times already and will continue as long as the management refuses to take action!!

This course is maintained very well and is a challenge for the average golfer. Greens are in fatastic condition (July 15 & 17 2013). Water comes into play on holes 3, 4, 9, 14, 16, & 17 although good tee shots will keep you out of trouble. The staff are very courteous and makes for an enjoyable outing.

9 holes including cart for $20 is unheard of where we live. This is one of the best municipal golf course I've played in. It is challenging, the greens are in good shape, the place is well maintained. I can't wait to play here again when I am back in the VA Beach area. Good value.

Red Wing is managed by people who are truly committed to providing a quality course at a reasonable cost. The staff is truly sincere and out-going - more than willing to give visitors sage advice on local area attractions and places to go, and oh yeah, 'ya might want to tighten up just a tad on that 4-iron...' in the...
