Our 2.5 hour guided Kayak Dolphin Tours start in late May and continue through October, where you can experience wild dolphins up close and personal. This is our most exciting kayak adventure launching through the surf into the Atlantic Ocean. We have been operating for 16 years as a professional guided kayak tour company in the Hampton Roads area. We offer fun, exciting, and memorable kayak tours throughout Southeast Virginia. We have built an excellent reputation among local guests and visitors alike. Our other 2.5 hour tours take place on calm inland protected waters to The Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge, First Landing State Park, North West River, or our sunset tour in the beautiful Norfolk Botanical Gardens. We have 2.5 hour trips to other locations and all day trips to the Deserted Beaches of the Eastern Shore and Lake Drummond in the Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge. « less

The all day kayak trip to Dake Drummond in the great dismal swamp on Oct. 21st was terrific. I had looked forward to going to Lake drummond for many many years now and the lake did not disappoint. The old sculpted cypress trees sitting in the lake were fantastic. The weather was absolutely beautiful and I am convinced that fall... More

Was looking for a little bit of a different activity to do while I was in Norfolk, VA. I chose to go kayaking on Saturday morning and it was a fun experience. We kayaked right by the Carnival cruise ship that was in port and got to see the USS Wisconsin from a completely different perspective. When they warn you... More

Randy continues to deliver a fun and exciting time on the water. It is very apparent that he, along with his staff, enjoy giving the tours. We have used our own equipment as well as theirs and enjoyed every trip. Next year we look forward to going with another trip or two with Kayaking Nature Tours. The fact we have... More

The three of us chose single kayaks so we could be in charge of our own destiny. Double kayaks are also available. There were so many dolphins (babies too!). They were as curious about us as we were about them. We had your best viewing if we separated ourselves a little from the other kayakers and then just sat still.... More

We were a group of 9 college girls who did the First Landing flat water tour and the dolphin tour. Both were amazing. On the flat water tour we saw lots of wildlife, including three bald eagles. The dolphins were incredible. We had a few people get motion sickness on the dolphin tour. Overall both trips were really great and... More

My family enjoyed kayaking with the dolphins on a beautiful, late September weekday. We almost had the beach and ocean to ourselves. Kayak Nature Tours did a great job explaining how to handle the kayaks, enjoy the trip and stay safe. We saw quite a few dolphins throughout the area we were paddling. The photos and videos the guides took... More

Did the dolphin trip with my wife and two kids (7 and 9). Guides were great. Lots of dolphins. Getting in and out through the surf wasn't too challenging, and the kids found that part fun. I would highly recommend this trip for families that are open to a little adventure and comfortable on the water.

My husband and I went on the Dolphin Adventure in the ocean. I was very apprehensive but wow, it is quite the experience! I have never kayaked before but caught on quickly and then enjoyed the views and the lulling ocean. We saw dolphins close by (we missed the one where it jumped out of the water between our kayak... I had a great time a couple of weeks ago paddlin' with a group led by Kayak Nature Tours up near Fort Story, north end of Va Beach. Had only done flatwater paddling before so this was a brand new experience and quite a thrill to paddle so close to big dolphin. This company offers a variety of eco-tours and... More

Glad you liked it. We do a couple of tours to the Dismal Swamp actually. We tend to run them more in the fall because its so hot in the summer. In fact, we're going to do an all day trip to Lake Drummond this weekend, October 6! The weather is looking gorgeous and we are excited. If you're looking... More

I went on an august afternoon and saw countless dolphins. Some were even 10 feet away from our boats, many jumped in the air seemingly doing tricks for us! The guides, Randy and Alex were great. The launch into the choppy surf was much easier then expected. The rolling seas don't help those who are prone to sea sickness (I... More

We are glad your trip went so well! Sounds like you got a lucky day. Some days the dolphins are definitely more active than others and its really impossible to predict. You're right about reentry. We hope to see you again soon. More
