The art is changed on the first business day of the month and in itself has become something of an event for people to see. The bios of the artists are posted in the lobby and each artist is on hand to meet the public at an evening reception on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. The work is for sale and can be purchased out right or put on lay-a-way at Shenandoah Valley Artworks. Shenandoah Showcase is an ongoing partnership between the Town of Strasburg and Shenandoah Valley Artworks. Each month the work of an artist or group of artists is shown throughout the ground floor hallways during normal business hours. « less

A place not to be missed. Local artists visually tested all of my senses tonight.Live guitar music, played as I enjoyed each piece. Some of the artists were there to share and answer questions. Snacks were available with comfortable and friendly conversations And parking is not a problem.

If you are in the Shenandoah Valley and driving down 81, or near Strasburg, jump into the Strasburg Town Hall and catch the excellent work of Ann Harrison and Lauren Vaughan. Both artists represent stunning renditions of natural scenery--some as far away as Maine, but all in keeping with the beauty of the Valley. Ms. Vaughan's work in pastels evoke... More

I love going up here and getting a free show, it changes each month and the "curator" does her part to make it radically different from the month before.

Stop by the Strasburg Town Hall to see some excellent pictures. I'm glad I did. Three local artists have their photos on display for the pubic to enjoy. There's something for everyone. Beautiful local landscapes, horses, ocean scenes, old windows and doors, Cedar Creek Battle, old bridges, rivers and much more. Must see. And it's free. Enjoy!

Another great showing of local talent at the Strasburg Town Hall. This time, three photographers from our area with incredible photographs on display. Of particular note was the work by Dawn Miller. She captures the natural beauty of the area in extremely vivid pictures, taken at the exact moment that clearly shows the eye of a professional. This has been... More

This display is composed mostly of world class nature and wildlife photography and is stunning! Definitely worth a visit and surprisingly priced to sell. This is the work of 3 artists, Dawn Miller, Steve Sober and Ken Sullins. I still have goose bumps the day after viewing this work. I was privileged to meet the artists at the opening on... More

My husband and I, looking for things to do in Stasburg, VA on a drizzly winter day, came across a delightful gallery, Shenandoah Valley Artworks owned by Marcy McCann. Her gallery houses delightful creations of many local artisans. Marcy has been tasked with displaying a different artist each month at the Stasburg Town Hall, so after visiting her gallery we...
