Wonderful diorama about local civil war events. Fossils for sale along with books and a great guided tour of the resident cave. There is also a walking interpretive trail of civil war information.

When the Cedar Creek Foundation Building was closed on the Monday I was visiting, I went to Hupp Hill Visitor's Center. A charming lady helped me and directed me to the Hi Neighbor Diner for lunch. She was great. Got the souvenirs and off I went

There is a nice museum in this park which is located directly above Crystal Cavern. There is also a trail that shows battle entrenchments and lunettes from the civil war battle. An opening to a natural cave and several sinkholes characteristic of the area can also be seen on the trail.

Happened by Hupps Civil War Park on our way to Srasburg. They have a small but wonderful museum. A very nice mural covers one wall with battle scenes and local views of the area. The room is filled with artifacts from the local area. The staff was very helpful and friendly in spite of being very busy getting ready for... More

My husband and I visited here on a Sunday afternoon. The museum offers a very informative 45 min. movie on the history of the Civil War battle here. Watching this movie laid the perfect groundwork for visiting a historic plantation up the road. The museum also has an impressive collection of Civil War artifacts for viewing. The gift shop has... It's not a national park battlefield facility, but a heck of an interesting place from different historical times with a focus on the Civil War actions all around it. Entrenchments, cannon emplacements, interpretation signs and walking trail put you right onto a landmark of the Cedar Creek battlefield. Two very nice staff ladies full of information and referrals. By terrain... More

We were looking for a place to tour a battlefield on our way south and found this on our I- phone. We decided to pull in and see what it was all about. The lady in the visitor center was very welcoming and helpful. I wonder if she wasn't bored and was just looking for someone to converse with, this... More

I dropped in by chance and enjoyed the little detour. It's a pretty little place with a very helpful and informative lady at the visitor center. Plenty of free literature. Unfortunately the museum wasn't open due to maintenance work but was opening again very soon. I did the 1/2 mile loop walk and enjoyed it. Nice to find somewhere not... More

I'm not sure what we expected but his wasn't it. Its short and sweet. Not much there to experience. The guide/ Customer service person didn't seem too happy to be there.

We're sorry your viist to Hupp's Hill was less than satisfactory. Although our site is small, we feel we have a lot to offer our guests. The Stonewall Jackson Museum is no longer in operation. However, we have a new museum that opend in May, 2011 on the Civil War Battle of Cedar Creek fought nearby. This is the ONLY... More
