It was our first time and we hope to attend other events there. Macbeth was so well done, I felt as if were in England watching it with the locals.

The production of Macbeth was superior. The cast was talented, energetic, and forceful. Well worth the price of a ticket. The theater itself was a wonderful reproduction of the Globe.

The quality of the productions here is always very high, but this season they are really at their best. John Harrell is especially brilliant both in Cyrano and in Comedy of Errors, and the Macbeth is also very good. This may be the most enjoyable theater on the planet, without being in any way dumbed-down Shakespeare. They respect both the... More

This is THE place to enjoy GREAT theatre - we have yet to see a production we didn't like - from the youngest to the oldest, we come away with smiles and great memories.

We attended a production of Shakespeare's As You Like It. The performance was well done with the exception of the actors delivering their lines too fast – – almost frenetically.

I can't believe that this place is only an hour and a half from my house and never heard of it! We attended Macbeth this past weekend and I was blown away by the cast and how well done the entire production was. We stumbled onto staying in Staunton because of a local blues festival. After researching a bit, we... More

We have been seeing production at ASC for years. They are generally very good. The theater is beautiful, a recreation of the Blackfriar's theater in London. As in Elizabethean times, the lights stay on during the performance, which leads to a unique experience as the actors interact with the audience. They also have pre-show and intermission entertainment. You can even... More

Redundant I know, but you simply have to see whatever the performance happens to be. Great cast, put their hearts into it with a good dose of talent. Performance plus pregame warm up runs over three hours so plan accordingly. Beautifully done theater and very enjoyable evening.

First time - theater was gorgeous. Intimate setting, not a bad seat in the house. Actors were wonderful, talented and engaging with the audience. They even made the "pre-show" and intermission entertainment hilarious. We really enjoyed our time there. Would go again if I ever find myself in Staunton again.
