This park has nice summer evening entertainment--fun for families. You can rent a space for a party. There are a few kids' rides and a snack bar. However, parking is awful! Out of country visitors should be charged,

A small lake with picnic tables and restrooms and a concession stand that is open in summer and for a couple special events at other times of the year. (A Santa Hayride/Halloween and a few others.) There is a merry go round and kids playground and boat rentals with a nice sandy beach (but no swimming allowed) as well as... More

Lake Accotink is a VERY dog-friendly park. We attended the Howl-O-Ween Dog Bone Hunt & Costume Show and were fortunate to have GREAT weather and a lot of dog dressed 'appropriately for the season'. The costumes showed great imagination, on the part of their human companions. We've attended many of these annual dog events and enjoyed each and every one... More

Springfield's best kept secret! Incredible and quaint family-oriented park with row and paddle boats, merry-go-round, picnic and bbq with pavillions, hiking trails, and more!

We visited this park on a beautiful autumn morning, walking the trails and doing a little geocaching. The trails are wide, with plenty of room for everyone, including strollers. There are signs along the way providing information about points of interest. In season, you can rent canoes and paddleboats and there is a concession stand and a carousel. There’s also... More

Great place for the kids, lots of running trails to lose yourself in for a peaceful run. Remove all the stress of the day along or with the kids.

Would recommend visiting Burke Lake park, which isn't much further then Lake Accotink. But definitely not a bad place to have a birthday party for your kid or a place to take them to run around.

If you're finding a simple place for children (ages 5-10) to play; Lake Accotink Park would be a great location. Parents & children can take nice walks, have a nice picnic, boat & kayak there, etc. My kids especially liked the carousel. The lake is a great view. I recommend for you & your family going there.
