We stayed in one of the camp-cabins at Lake Anna in early September. Great option if you like the idea of camping but don't want to actually camp. ha! The cabin was clean and well-maintained. The ceiling fan kept it nice and breezy inside and we loved the front porch with the rocking chairs and the picnic table area. The... More

Clean lake and park, restrooms were clean and in sufficient quantity, and the woods at the park are clean and nice to walk in. Many of the paths are paved and some are unpaved but in good condition. Nice for a weekend visit - I'm told the campground was nice and well maintained but didn't actually stay there

I really enjoyed Lake Anna, the only things is that if you need to run to the store, it is far away from the camping area. The cabins are nice and clean with just about everything that you will need. I like the fireplace and the views are beautiful. Take advantage of this beautiful place.

First things first..the lake has a "warm side" and a "cold side" which is related to the nuclear power plant on its shores. Been in operation for decades. Anyway, our visit was mid-week and at the end of the season. Therefore, park was empty and were not charged entrance fees. Other reviews did mention hectic crowds, this was not our... More

As a reminder to future visitors, there is always a parking fee whether we have the contact station manned or not. There is a self-pay envelope and the signs are very obvious. This visitor was lucky because failure to pay the fee is subject to a $25 ticket. More

I went tent camped her the weekend of Sept 13 after not camping for over 6 years and not tent camping EVER. My first impression that that the campground was not as private as we were hooping for. The campground was about half filled and I think that if every space was taken, there would be NO privacy in some... More

I was a little leery of this park because it got mixed reviews. Fortunately, we were pleasantly surprised. We went for Labor Day weekend. Our kids loved the beach. The water at the beach was really warm. We stayed at one of the water and electric sites. Each site has water and electric. The tent pads were covered in small... More

We visited the park and beach on a weekday, and it was serene and almost deserted on the day we visited. There is a small beach area, a short little fishing pier and limited parking for beach-goers. On the other hand, there are large parking areas for boat trailers and fishermen, and a few cooking grills for picnics. The forest... More

The state park is lacking, I honestly do not go there, we launch at Sturgeons Marina. My review is about the lake, beautiful, we love heading there with our kids. Especially in the weekdays, water is very smooth. A must go.

I live 5 miles from lake Anna park and I find it not very clean after what my littel brother pulled out of the water 😨 nasty i would not even eat the fish that comes from there .. plus last year a little girl drowned. There's no life guard.but other then that it's not very clean or safe ☺

The park itself is very nice, location is convenient for a small get away with friends and family. BUT! we paid $7 to enter the park and then $4 per person to enter the beach which was covered in all sorts of trash and food leftovers! The bathrooms were absolutely filthy! Don't you think you charge a little bit too... More
