After searching the tons if wineries close to our cabin we fell upon Sharp Rock. Tastings were $6.50 for all of there wines (7 samples). They truly have a wide variety. All were very drinkable and smooth. They also sell bread, cheeses and meats. We settled on a venison summer sausage and made a lovely lunch sitting outside by the... More

This was an amazing weekend with excellent accommodations and proximity to a couple of the best restaurants we've ever eaten at. Jim and Kathy (and their 2 beautiful dogs and cat) are simply wonderful. We loved the wine as well. We have already been recommending this place to our friends. We got so lucky getting the Carriage House at the... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights in the Carriage House for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary. Sharp Rock Vineyards is about an hour and 45 minutes from Washington DC, 15 minutes south of Sperryville, and 2 miles before the Old Rag parking lot. I can't think of a nicer place to have spent our weekend. The Carriage... More

What if you mixed a beautiful rustic upstairs tasting room, a hands on vintner, open porch overlooking a vineyard for enjoying a glass of exceptional wine - and a cat named Ray? I'd say you had the best tasting ever! (Only improved upon if a Burmese mountain dog or two arrived - wait! We've got that!) the wine is excellent... More

Sharp Rock has a nice farmy B&B feel. The wine is good and the people very knowledgable about their craft. Enjoy a bottle down by the creek their craft

This was the first place we picked to check out off the Skyline drive. Beautiful property with onsite B&B. Wine tasting was $7 per person and included around 6 wines. There is a nice picnic area to sit out and enjoy a bottle with cheese etc. We only did the tasting. The wines were decent, we picked up a bottle... More

This cute little winery was so much fun. We enjoyed the wines, the people and the setting. There were several tasty wines. I enjoyed the sweet whites and the red blends.

The worst thing about our visit to Sharp Rock was that we were only able to stay for one night. We stayed in the Carriage House, and had no complaints. The scenery was lovely, with the river flowing right below. The bed and other furnishings were comfortable. The cabin is old, but doesn't feel it. We also received a bottle... More

This winery is very close to Old rag mountain and about 30 min or so form little washington. The tasting room is held in a dilapidated barn, we weren't sure where to go. Loved the atmosphere. I prefer the authentic dilapidated barn for housing virginia than the shiny new places with the made up names and grapes from california. The... More
