I am more of a wine drinker if that, but Copper Fox was recommended by Tom at Killahevlin B&B where we were staying. The young man who gave us the tour was personable as well as informative. Glad I went.

Being from No Virginia sometimes we just slide through Sperryville on our way to/from rides on Skyline drive. Today, we made it our destination. Our Copper Fox tour guide was informative, entertaining and made the whole distilling process interesting. He said that they recently started offering tastings, which were enjoyable. We bought a bottle of their blue top whiskey and... More

Even my wife, who begrudgingly joins me for vineyard tours, found this stop to be interesting and eclectically charming. I guess they only allow tastings for the cool people, because I got to try a finger of single malt and a finger of rye. Seriously, someone needs to ask why they do tastings only sometimes, so TripAdvisees know how to... More

Part of our vacation plans were to visit a few wineries and the Copper Fox Distillery. We did not know what to expect once the barn door opened. Well, the distillery tour was so cool, I hated to leave. We were all impressed with the entire process that occurred behind the wooden door, so much fun. Devon our tour guide... More

OK this was so much fun. I've done a bunch of winery tours but this even more interesting. And now they offer tastes so i highl recommend visiting. From there we walked through the art studios and second hand store. What fun! Loved our tour guide.

While there weren't any tastings yet the tour was very informative and well done. They hope to be able to do tastings soon, so call ahead for an update. Even without a tasting is well worth a visit.

We enjoyed learning about the distillery process and seeing how the whiskey is made. A fun afternoon activity when passing through this area.

We stumbled upon this place when it was too foggy on Skyline Drive and we went adventuring. We found it after crossing a one lane bridge and walking behind an antique shop...and there it was. You have to knock on a huge wooden door (or ring the bell) to be let in. I was pretty apprehensive...this is really the boonies... More

Hidden away, but a gem of a place - well worth visiting. Producing Scottish Whisky and Gin, the tour is interesting, and the tasting is generous. Be prepared - they do not go in for weak alcohol!!

We saw the sign on 211 and stopped in over Memorial Day weekend 2014. We got lucky - a tour was starting in 15 minutes (no charge). We hung out on the porch with the resident dog enjoying the day, then started the tour with the owner. He showed us the entire process - from grain delivery to bottle sealing... More
