It is a refurbished old movie theatre where you can get an old fashioned movie experience. They show good flicks (perhaps the only theatre in our town that shows some independent films) and have great popcorn and service. Grandin Village, where the theatre is located, has many wonderful restaurants and shops to visit, like a small town within a city.... More

My favorite Roanoke movie theater! Best popcorn & where else do you get gargoyles? In the middle of Grandin Village where you can walk to shops & restaurants.

An iconic movie theatre visited as a child 66 years ago, now multiscreened in former balcony but main level still as it was in 1950's. Variety of films, both mainstream and independent. What a movie theatre should be!

Decided to take a break from shopping and see a movie. I found the fare to be overpriced for a matinee; popcorn and soda prices were almost double what i pay at the Cinemark back home. Seats were not too comfortable; they had a small recline but not nearly enough to make it comfortable. It was relatively clean. Only one... More

We are big fans of locally owned and operated establishments, often seeking them out instead of chains. And we are big fans of vibrant local neighborhoods. This movie theater scores in both categories - good for them. However, the enjoyment level of our visits has varied in direct relationship to which theater the movie was showing in. Unlike a multiplex... More

The folks who work here are the best. Over the top to please. Snack prices are what they are, also over the top, but they are in every theater these days. But the Popcorn is way better than Carmike or Regal. I find the sound and picture quality as good as or better than the big theaters. Seems to be... More

renovated 1920's theater shows first run movies as well as independent films to please every moviegoer. 4 different screens including the main screen and 3 smaller screening rooms. I love the decor and the popcorn (it's the best EVER) Its location in the Grandin Village is so convenient to restaurants and an organic coop food market.

very cozy in small intimate viewings. Some of the individual areas are like sitting in your living room!

Unfortunately we live about 20 miles away...but this is the only theater that we go to any more. They have many of the big hits, but they also get the indie films that are harder to find. Once a big theater with a single screen, it was cut up some time back such that now there is one big screen... More

This is the movie theater you remember going to as a child. Cushioned seats, curtains, and just a little bit worn. Wonderful selection of movies, especially all those indies. There are several theaters here, including one about the size of a living room! Cozy!
