Nice facility. Very clean and taken care of even though it is an older place. Parking is good and bathrooms are above average.

We regularly attend Virginia Tech hockey games at the Bergland Center. They routinely schedule several events at the complex making parking difficult. The amplifying system is always so loud (and distorted) you have to scream at the person next to you to be heard. It's always like this. Bring earplugs especially if you have young children. The concessions are plain... More

Not much to say...it is a typical event venue for a city of Roanoke's size. The center is conveniently located right next to 581 and near the downtown area. Traveling Broadway shows, sports events, and big name music groups play here.

The venue is pretty nice, and there is a lot of parking around the venue. Most of the time you have to pay for parking on the property though. It was pretty easy to get to, and in a convenient location. However, the seats are very small, and the steps are pretty steep. It could use some updates.

Located at an excellent area where downtown Roanoke is close & plenty of parking area. Events are scheduled & are good. Recently have Ice skating to arena added for events.

I found the seats to be rather narrow for someone with wide hips, the leg room was very limited (I am 5"6"), and the handicapped options were less than adequate. There was limited seating on the flat level. Numerous people, including one in my group who has difficulty with steps and uses a cane, had to ascend steep steps with... More

This building needs to be updated so badly. I understand that it's getting a long overdue facelift sometime this year. I hope the new seats are comfortable and bigger than the old ones. It desperately needs handrails along the strep steps. And I don't understand what the big building close to 581 even is, I just know it took out... More

Nice venue, easy to get to. Had to park too far away for the Elton John concert. Parking not located at the civic center. Had a back issue and struggled, but every other visit has been fine.

Lately I have noticed that the Bergland Center is doing a much better job of booking acts. The popular acts usually come through mon- Thursday on their way to or from a bigger venue on the weekends. I am impressed by the variety of acts. The symphony hall is great but the bigger auditorium is getting seedy from old age.... More

Nice variety of 3 main spaces for a plethora of activities and functions. The Civic Center is seperated out in to 3 areas, an arena for things like the circus, monster truck shows, rodeo, etc, the flat concrete floored inside space for gun shows, flea markets, trade fairs, etc, and the stage hall for musicals, graduations, dance recitals, stand up...
