The wine and the hospitality are excellent at this small winery not far from Virginia Military Institute. We tasted 11 different wines and all were very good. We ended up buying 6 bottles. This winery is definitely worth the detour and the area is full of history of not only the Civil War but the Revolutionary War as well.

Went for tasting. Wines were great. Tasting was free and most wines are 20.00 or below. We had rockbridge at wine festivals. If you like there wines, this is a must do. They have a good selection of wines. Mile or so of interstate. Great for a quick stop if you don't have much time.

We were pleasantly surprised by the way this vineyard does their tastings. The hostess was very friendly and informative about the wines, the grapes, and the area. We sampled a vast range of their wines from drys to sweets to a wonderful dessert wine.

We stopped here while traveling through the Shenandoah for a quick glass of wine. They were dog friendly which we appreciated because we were traveling with our dog. They had a large list of wine to do a tasting of. We chose a Riesling, which tasted great. The views here are great. Definitely worth the stop.

My husband and I have been to MANY different wineries (and breweries for that matter) and we really like this one. The owners are friendly and funny. They have dry and sweet wines. We like the sweeter wines, so we got a chilled bottle of their Traminette and sat outside on the swing and looked at the scenery which is... More

We decided to stop here on a whim. Only 1 mile from interstate 81 however worlds away. They have beautiful land with a view, and cute tasting room. They are expanding the tasting room and host events. They have many, many wines to taste for free and their wine was actually good! Some VA wines can't cut it, but this... More

This was the first wine tasting my husband and I attended. We absolutely love wine, but live in a fast paced city where vineyards are hard to come by... However, it was so much fun! Tasting was free and they walked you through the wines and pairings.. Needless to say, we walked out with several and had none left the... More

If you would like a fun, warm, personable education to wine, stop here. The staff revel in making each inquisitor grand! Reasonable prices, food pairing suggestions, local production tidbits, and shipping. What's not to like?

We came here by chance on our way home from Roanoke, VA. The property was gorgeous and we loved the staff. The best thing about the tastings is that it's FREE! Yes I said it... FREE!!!! The wines are also realisticly priced and they have a great assortment of cheeses, wines, crackers, and little trinkets. They also have a wonderful... More
