We became "frequent winers" with this vineyard and haven't regretted it. The view and vista from the patio on warm (even cool) days make for a lovely way to relax and sip a glass of wine. In the winter, you may also choose to sit indoors by the fire. We have our personal favorites with regard to the wine -... More

We had out-of-town guests that we brought to some local wineries. I had been hearing about Hillsborough, so we included it in our visit. The view and vista was not in March what I am sure it will be in June, and I can see why it would be a destination when everything is warm and green and lush. But... More

We stopped at this winery on a limo wine tour. It is the largest winery out of the 10 I've visited. We had a group of 8 and taken into a huge room with lots of tables, where we had our tastings. Fun visit, beautiful views, I can only imagine how pretty it must be in the summer or fall.... More

I've been going here for years and love the view; high on the hillside. The wine is merely good, so the large, pleasant tasting room with plenty of grounds makes up for any wow you're expecting in the wine. The seating throughout is old and uncomfortable so wear jeans for buffer. Except for Kerem the winemaker with an unmistakable attitude,... More

I loved the red wine. Beautiful scenery, fantastic staff. A little too many flies but hey they like wine too!

Nice setting on a hillside overlooking rolling hills. However, the tasting menu was smaller than others and it was very quiet when we were there. Might be better to visit in warmer months when you can sit outside.

Courteous and friendly server. Liked one of the wines so wife and I bought two glasses and a wedge of cheese to savor on the patio, sitting in the afternoon sun and enjoying the beautiful view.

Hillsborough is one of my favorite vineyards in Virginia. The view of the rolling hills and vines are breathtaking. The wines are unique and delicious. When possible, try to go on an off day. You get the chance to talk to the staff about the wine maker and get much more indepth information about the wine and the winery. I... More

Amazing view from the vineyard. Wines are okay. We've done tastings here at the bar, but also had a tasting in the "dining" room. The pourer didn't stick around to talk about the wine, just put down a piece of paper in front of you with the explanation. Not very personal, and didn't find the hostess personable at all.
