This was our second visit to Breaux. Each time I have been impressed by the knowledge of the pourers doing the tasting and the quality of the wines. This time we decided to join the bottle club. We were traveling to the Shenondoah valley on this trip but made a special detour to pick up more wine. After our last... More

nice views with a nice tasting room. wine is 7/10 but the atmosphere makes up for it. i would recommend, as it is very visually appealing.

We visited in September in 2013 with two couples. We visited two other wineries that day (North Gate and Doukenie) and Breaux was by far our least favorite. The setting is beautiful but it went downhill the second we exited our car. Immediately, someone was standing there to check our IDs (we are all 40+) and remind us repeatedly that... More

This is a young vineyard and young owners with a flair for events. I have attended a few events at this location and enjoyed the Bufffett-themed events the most. Wine-A-Ritas became a favorite of mine after having them here. The grounds are rolling and the view is nice, but there are other vineyards with better views and tasting rooms.

Breaux consistently delivers "good". I want them to deliver "great". I went to the Cajun Fest 2014 today and i would say the following: 1) fantastic organization - all the staff was amazingly coordinated for the event 2) food - pretty good - if not great. Yes there were some exceptions -but overall - they did a great job on... More

We went to check out this winery in April 2014 as a possible wedding venue. The pictures on-line were stunning and the "main" inside facility had the most beautiful wood floors and sparkling chandeliers. Just what I had envisioned for a reception. I had probably tasted their wines at festivals, but it had been a while so I wanted to... More

I think my title says it all. This was the first stop of our wine tour; I went with three other friends for a girls' wine trip. We were very excited as we heard good things about the place. It was beautiful weather and the drive just added to the experience. Upon getting onto the grounds, you couldn't help but... More

Made an unplanned stop when traveling through the area on business. The grounds are beautiful, and the ambiance wonderful, but the wine was not good. Of the wineries I have visited for a tasting in the Carolinas and Virginia, this is the most expensive, not only in terms of the cost for the tasting, but the wines per bottle or... More

We visited on a crowded Saturday. The tasting bar is not large enough to accommodate the visitors. The red wines were delicious but the prices per bottle ($48-52) make them unrealistic for the average person to purchase. Our server was impersonal and robotic. He made mistakes on my order and with the order of the people next to us. We... More

If you want a day out of the city and to experience a vineyard with nice views, and that is your only requirement, then this is the place. If you enjoy wine, can even calibrate your expectations considering the Virginia wine market, then don't go to Breaux. Possibly the worst wine I've ever had. I was surprised they could even... More
