My husband and I visited Breaux on a chilly spring day when the snow from the day before was just starting to melt. The winery has beautiful views, even when covered with snow, so I can only imagine how beautiful it is on a sunny spring/summer day. We enjoyed most of the wines at the tasting and the gentleman pouring... More

Go on a day with a pleasant forecast, buy a bottle of wine and sit outside. I visited Breaux with a small group. We started with a tasting indoors, but I gave up halfway through. It was taking much too long, and the pours were miniscule, so I told my friends I'd be outside. I bought a bottle and took... More

Out of the several wineries we visited that day Breaux was my least favorite. That being said it wasn't a horrible experience. Breaux is a huge winery and are currently adding a nice new large tasting room and bar. Breaux does seem to have a 100% ID check so don't forget your wallet in the car. The lady, sorry I... More

We drove out to Breaux Vineyards on a cold Saturday afternoon in February. The lady who poured wines for us was very knowledgeable about their products and also wines in general, able to describe the grapes, the blends, the process, and so on. The wines were OK but nothing wowed me. Their 2007 Meritage was very pricey at $48 per... More

Of all the area wineries, Breaux is one of the largest, and gets a lot of traffic all year. It has grown over the years, but I wonder why. The quality of the (overpriced) wines is pedestrian, and the tasting room has never been a high score. It's noisy, packed with buses of tours, unorganized, and everything has a price.... More

Love this place. Wonderful wines, great selection and beautiful grounds, Very friendly staff. They have a lot of events and festivals here too and I plan on going to one of them as soon as I can. I found the wine priced fairly and I joined their Cellar Club too. It is always a nice surprise when the new wines... More

There is an Italian villa in the Purcellville area known as Breau Vineyards. The ambiance is incontestably, the most elegant arena for wine tasting in the entire wine growing area. The wine however, is very expensive and, needs some aging to rid some of the tannins.

Has Breaux become too big for their breeches? Maybe. Tasting Room worker was cold and lifeless, and it wasn't the temperature. We tried a variety of reds and white wines. Asked to try a Nebbiolo and could not, even after telling her I would be buying a bottle of the $54 wine. I think we got to keep the glass...but... More

Let's say that this winery has one of the best views with all of the acres it has planted with vines and the surrounding mountains. The leaves were changing which added to the already breathtaking view. The wines are excellent and the staff were very nice and took there time explaining the origin of the vineyard and the wines. One... More

Busy vineyard, but a very nice visit. They had live music and a great food truck. They are going through a large construction product and expect this to be a great addition.
