We took our kids (4 and 6) and they loved it. This was our second trip here and they could have stayed all day. Plenty of things to keep them busy. They loved the pretend store, plays house, the bubble room and the play stage and puppet area. Our son (6) loved the circus area but one of the stations... More

We came to the museum with our 2yo while vacationing in Williamsburg. While there were a few shops and restaurants within walking distance if the museum, we came to Portsmouth solely for the Children's Museum but it was definitely worth it! It proved to be an all day experience for us considering the drive time. We brought a picnic lunch... More

Since we entered the museum, my kids were amazed...they were asking a lot of questions and the employees were very helpful on answering them...a place where I don't have to prohibit my kids to touch what they want...

The facility is always clean, well-staffed, and fun to explore. I have been taking my daughter there since she was 2. She's 6 now and still loves to play pretend in the vet's office, "drive" the authentic fire engine, or watch the IMAX feature. Teachers are free, so don't forget your pay stub/ID, teachers.

We visited this museum during a recent family vacation. We were a little hesitant about whether it would be appropriate for a 10 year old, but we found that we had nothing to worry about. We spent 2 1/2 hours in this fun-filled museum and the adults had just as much fun, if not more! All of the displays invite... More

I took my 11 month old son here the other day and he loved it. As a suggestion from the cashier we started in the toddler play area. It's basically just a play area like you see at the mall. There are family friendly restrooms located inside this play area as well. My son really enjoyed the bubble making room... More

Very nice and fairly clean children's museum. It was our first time visiting a children's museum so I don't have a point of reference but this one seemed very nice. We took our two year old daughter here and she seemed to enjoy herself. I think her favorite part was the bubble room. She's fiercely independent and got a little... More

Grand kids want to visit here every time they are in town. lots of activities for children up to about 14. lots of science facts and fun, the train museum section is great, static displays and working model railroads for kids of any age. Highly recommend. Reasonable paid parking is in back of building.

We go here about once a week with our grandson who finds something new to explore each time we go. We look forward to the changing exhibit about every 4 months. The Clifford exhibit was especially interesting and fun. It is well worth the price of a family membership. they keep the museum clean and sanitized.

Took the grandchildren there last week. They had bus loads of children coming in from the summer programs which did not effect anything. The place is very large with something for everyone to do with no wait. Parking is not the greatest since most is on street parking with a 2 hour window. It is also located in an area... More
