Nice, but upgrades are needed

Great trip for schools in the area. Upgrades and new attractions are needed. Educational, and fun for kids of all ages.

Little towns with a market for kids to learn about the farm/market shopping selection and checkout, occupations like dentistry, medical, firehouse with uniforms, truck, and space telescopes, large fishing boat where kids can fish (no animals harmed all make-believe!) a planetarium! And on the second floor really interesting circus, art, rain forest and electrical activities. Worth the adventure.

My kids range from 7 - 11. The oldest was worried it would be too "babyish" but she had a great time. They loved the upstairs physics circus and the environmental house. The lower level is geared toward younger children but my kids loved the fishing boat, the bubbles and the market. The planetarium video was fantastic. I wish they... More

It almost felt like the kids (5 and 7) were too old for the museum, however they really, really enjoyed it! The upper floor circus display was the best in terms of compelling science activities. The kids were really excited about the Magic Tree House planetarium show. We didn't really care for Portsmouth. Maybe it's because it was really cold... More

Look, for a Local with kids this is not bad, but since we have visited many Children's museums from different states, this one is not as big or Impressive, but still vey Informative and it does have some hands on education, play areas that are really good for kids,

I was in town for a brief visit and the weather was terrible. We opted for an indoor activity. The Children's Museum was great. Lots of activities to do and things to touch. The Planetarium was a very good event.

I was impressed with this children's museum, as I know some are good and others are not. We took our 2 year old and she had a great time. They pushed the free planetarium tickets on us when we arrived so we took them and waited for the show, unsure if it was age appropriate for a 2 year old...it's... More

We were pleasantly surprised by this museum. I had heard about it from my mom for several years but had not visited until this year. We had so much fun and could've stayed longer. The museum is bigger than it appears from the outside with two large floors and so many interactive exhibits. My favorite was the train display housed... More
