Recently took our Grandson for a afternoon visit. HE use to love going to the museum. This trip was horrible! more than 50% of the exhibits either were missing the interactive pieces for the kids to play with or things were broken. Looking at other reviews - all I can say is people must have very low expectations! Not worth... More

The first time we visited was when our daughter was still crawling. The enclosed baby section was great. She could explore without us worrying about her getting out or getting trampled. We went back after she started walking. We decided on a membership because this place was such wonderful entertainment for her as an alternative to a park (especially on... More

Great place for the children, although a bit pricey for a 2 year old. There are old trains and circus antiques. There are many interactive activities for everyone. The bubble room is fun. There are fire trucks, motorcycles, a grocery store, library, veterinarian, dentist and doctor's office, The children can certainly use their imagination here. Unfortunately, there is no place... One of the best Children's museums going, but don't expect the respectful quiet of a "museum"...it is rather kid friendly mayhem! Lots of active exhibits for the Kurds and adults alike. Our grandkids were everywhere trying out everything. It can br very educational, but with the number of kids visiting when we were and the noise associated with all that,... More

Easily accessed by car with parking behind or from Norfolk via the Hampton Roads Ferry. There are two full floors of hands-on activities for toddlers to tweens. On weekend evenings at 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 during the Christmas season, it snows outside. The children love it.

This visit was just to see the classic model train set-up. I had recently visited the Roberson House in Binghamton NY which features model train layout including nearby villages and a coal mine. It made me want to come back to The Children's Museum and take a closer look. I really lucked out - the trains were running! At least... More

This is a favorite place for the family. Not only are the younger kids kept entertained, the adults have fun playing too!! It's clean, spacious, and has a great variety of activities. Watch out, the kids might learn something too ;) We will be back!!

This is by far one of the most interesting and fun things for kids to spend an afternoon doing. When my grandchildren would visit from Colo. this is always the first thing they would request to do. The price is moderate and even adults enjoy going. I would highly recommend the experience.

This is a great museum for children of all ages! Lots of interactive features to enjoy & history lessons to explore. I would recommend this attraction to any family with children to visit while in the Hampton Roads Area.

Really great spot to hit if you are in the area. Lots of interactive exhibits to engage the kiddos. My 4 year old asked the next day if we could go back, so sounds like they really enjoyed it (and slept really well after going so another plus). Nice area of town as well - lots of parking garages and... More
