Grand kids want to visit here every time they are in town. lots of activities for children up to about 14. lots of science facts and fun, the train museum section is great, static displays and working model railroads for kids of any age. Highly recommend. Reasonable paid parking is in back of building.

We go here about once a week with our grandson who finds something new to explore each time we go. We look forward to the changing exhibit about every 4 months. The Clifford exhibit was especially interesting and fun. It is well worth the price of a family membership. they keep the museum clean and sanitized.

Took the grandchildren there last week. They had bus loads of children coming in from the summer programs which did not effect anything. The place is very large with something for everyone to do with no wait. Parking is not the greatest since most is on street parking with a 2 hour window. It is also located in an area... More

My wife and I along with my son's family and their twins..boy and girl age 5..visted this place recently. We had a wonderful time there. There were tons of activities for the kids and they really had a wonderful time. The staff was very helpful and could answer your questions. Plenty of restrooms. Lots of seats to take breaks. I... It's called the Children's Museum but every age learns something. Very hands on and interactive so bring wipes :) They change some of the exhibits every couple of months so there is always something new to see. You can easily spend 3 hrs. There is parking on the street and also a parking garage for less than $3.

First time visit to the museum with a one year old. The museum is awesome and our daughter played non stop for two full hours. She had a blast. The museum has so much to see and do including a circus, grocery store, vet, firehouse, music room, trains, mock bus, bubble room, environment area, exploring areas, library, arts and crafts,... I cant believe how big it is and how much stuff there is to do! Room after room....and the bubbles room! My kids had just as much fun as I did. If you take the ferry from Norfolk in the winter, bring gloves and something to cover your face, the wind cuts right through you.
