Sailing out onto and exploring the bay of islands is a marvelous time. Beautiful landscapes and picturesque views in all directions. Bring some Dramamine in case it gets choppy at the far end of the trip. Great day on the lovely waters.

We had a wonderful day out on the Bay of Islands in the more than capable hands of Mike and Melissa. The weather was gorgeous, the boat was fantastic with plenty of space for the 16 travellers. Saw lots of dolphins, a couple of penguins and beautiful scenery. We were offered hot chocolate and biscuits, then delightful and healthy snacks,... More

What a fantastic day?!! The views were just gorgeous. Plenty of light and fresh snacks served throughout the trip. You were able to get involved and help crew or steer the boat. Ben was our skipper and Melissa was the busy crew member paying attention to all the details. We anchored in some little bay and either swam/kayaked/tendered to shore... More

This was a perfect day out to end our 6 week tour of New Zealand and a great way to see the Bay at its finest. Beautiful boat, entertaining and highly competent crew, friendly fellow passengers and regular healthy and tasty snacks and lunch throughout the day. We had a swim round an island in a quiet bay with kayaks... More

My wife and I had such a fun day with Mike and Melissa, they were both so welcoming and friendly, we immediately felt part of the crew. They involved us both in the running of the yacht, pulling ropes, raising sails and the highlight was a stint at the helm! Within a few minutes we had spotted dolphins and penguins,... More

Imagine lying comfortably on the deck of a beautiful sailing yacht, carried along on warm ocean breezes through an archipelago of picturesque islands covered in lush greenery and surrounded by sub tropical water. Add to that, a charming and knowledgeable skipper, friendly crew, nutritious food and cool drinks. Then imagine whiling away the afternoon swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, hiking or just... More

My boyfriend and I have been traveling though New Zealand and sailing with Mike and Deb has been our favorite adventure yet by far! Mike was so welcoming and made us all feel like part of the crew. It was a highlight when I was able to steer the boat.... but I also enjoyed just basking in the sun. We... More

Went sailing with Mike and Deb a few days ago and had such a memorable day! Skipper and crew were fantastic with plenty of fun facts, yummy nibbles and lunch were provided throughout the day. As first time sailors we'll definitely be back for more. Excellent value and highly recommended

My wife and I had an amazing day on Gungha 2. I have sailed often but my wife has almost no boating experience so it was a wonderful experience for her. The boat is awesome with plenty of space ( I want one) , Snorkeling at the island was cool and was a fan of the lemon pepper popcorn :-)

Having never sailed before we arrived early with some trepidation as to what the day may bring. We were warmly greeted by Captain Mike and introduced ourselves. From that point on he remembered and addressed us by our first names as well as everyone else who came aboard that day. This may seem a small consolation but turned out to... More
