Captain Milke does a wonderful job from start to finish. We had a great day on the water! Not a dull moment on this sail: viewed dolphins up close, paddled in the kayaks, worked the boat as part of the crew, went for a hike on the island we stopped at for lunch. Lunch was superb. Not sure what other... More

It was a nice day of sailing. We sailed with Richard. There were only 6 of us including Richard. Everyone participated. It made me wonder whether Richard was expected to do everything himself. With 5 passengers, everyone seemed to be doing something all the time. We saw few dolphins along the way. We stopped by one of the island and... More

Started off the day with a pick up from the Russell boat jetty with a awkward welcome by our skipper, Mike. We then motored out of the busy harbour with Mike getting a little edgy as we navigated through a busy yacht racing fleet and past a yacht with a JAFA skipper (Mike taught us what a JAFA was). With... More

We loved our day aboard the Gungha II. The yacht is well equipped and we had ample room (the yacht is 65 feet). Mike is a very experienced sailor and has many stories to share. You can help with the sailing or just relax. The snacks and lunch were delicious! The walk up to the look-out on the island stopover... More

Great day out. Mike made us really welcome on board loads of knowledge of where to find the dolphins and able to dodge the rain that we had for a short time. encouraged all on board to have a shot at helming and generally helping out. Good food with a welcome beer for lunch. He even made all the ladies... More

Involves a day of sailing which was fantastic. Great crew who were all easy to talk to and the skipper Mike who had plenty of stories to share. Most of the day is spent of the yacht sailing, with a couple of hours on a beach for a swim and some lunch. Thoroughly recommend for a relaxing day where you... More

We had rubbish weather for our trip but the day was brilliant thanks for Mike. Having some sailing experience ourselves we were keen to hear Mike's stories & tips and get some hands on sailing in. The food was fab also - am now addicted to lemon pepper! Dont hesitate to book this trip.. More

Me and my family had an awesome adventure with Mike and his yacht early january--the weather was wicked and the boat--a big 65ft Ocean Yacht was great. Mike the skipper/owner was really great - very experienced and knowledgable of the pretty bay of Islands!. We were greeted on the Yacht from Paihia wharf with a nice warm milo & biscuit... More

We have made a sailing trip with the Gungha II. We were staying in Paihia and were picked up from the Wharf in Paihia. You can also be picked up from Russel. After a couple of cloudy days and a full day of rain, the weather on this day was perfect. It was very sunny and there was enough wind... More
