this is an outstanding conservation project on a small island in the Kerikeri area linked by a causeway - the site has excellent walks and can accommodation tents and travelling vans if you wish to stay and stand a chance of seeing kiwi at night

Recently my husband and I spent a long weekend caravanning on Aroha Island. What a lovely spot - very picturesque and very peaceful. The island is 12km from Kerikeri township and sits in the Kerikeri Inlet joined to the mainland by a 100-metre causeway.
