We stopped here on a recent tour with Harley from Black Robin Tours(Select NZ). We also went to the Woodcraft Shop next store which was excellent for purchasing kauri wood. We bought chocolate here and were able to enjoy it for several days after on our cruise and we even had enough to bring home. They have a great variety... More

As we walked in, nobody of the seller ladies greeted or noticed us because they were so busy with the conversation among each other. After a few minutes they offered us some chocolate samples which were very tasty! We looked at the price and got shocked! 25$ for 250 gr. But we were so impressed by the taste of this... More

Whenever we come to NZ to visit family, we take a special trip to Keri Keri to go to Makana as the Macadamia Nut Brittle is delicious. You can watch it being made & normally get to sample something. This time we also brought butter toffee crunch which didn't last very long because it was so nice

We got the macadamia butter toffee crunch most delicious thing ever. Slightly strange service at the shop. A little pushy. I'll be going back to get more of these delicious chocolates before I leave kerikeri.

We're local, and I always call into Makana Confections to buy some special truffles for friends and relations around Christmas time. I walked in, and was half way to the display stand when I heard a terse "hello" come from behind me. I turned around to see a young girl shouting out hello to me as she served another couple.... Melt in the mouth chocolate!. Once the box is opened it is so.o.o.. hard to stop oneself from scoffing the lot. For chocolate lovers, chocoholics and even those who pretend they can say no! to chocolate.

Makana Macadamia Butter Toffee Crunch is incredible! It's the kind of treat that you want to savour but end up devouring in 5 minutes - it's pricey but totally worth every cent! I have just realised that you are able to purchase it online and I will be doing that for special occasions. I can not recommend it enough, if... More

Highly recommended to everyone. It is pricey BUT it is worth every bite. We go here every time we either visit Kerikeri or Paihia.
