Don't turn around when you get to the first waterfall! It is totally worth going all the way! The pathway is magical, the pumphouse is interesting, the walk is easy and the water is gorgeous! Bring a camera, bring a swimsuit, and if you park at Stone Store, don't miss the rope swings at the beginning of the hike!

Impressive and beautiful Waterfall. After a short walk from the Carpark (Bathrooms available) you get to the bottom of the falls. If you good on your feet, you can even get behind the falling water. Would go again

Take the trail along the river from Kerikeri basin and the Stone Store. It's around 2-3 hours from there to Rainbow Falls, but it's a lovely trail and plenty of spots to stop for a swim along the way. The actual falls are beautiful, and you can swim behind the falls. If you'd prefer an easier route, park at the... More

Easy to find and easy access- our NZ holiday turned into a waterfall tour-so we visited all the waterfalls we could find. Some were difficult to locate (poor signage), others required long or challenging hikes , but this one rated well on both counts. Not the most spectacular of all the falls we found, but certainly very attractive, even on... More

Excellent to take visitors to KERIKERI to see the Falls and the scenic walk is not to be missed. Have someone drop you off at the top of the falls on Rainbow Falls Rd then pick you up at the DOC car park if you only want to walk the track one way. Then visit the Stone Store.

Pretty falls, and in the morning we saw the rainbow from the top viewing platform. The best bit tho, putting on our reef shoes and shorts and clambering along the side of the pool and behind the falls into the cave. It's slippery and muddy but fun and more rewarding than just having a look. If your adventurous have a... More

Stopped at this waterfall while traveling the region and was stunned by the beautiful views. On a nice sunny day this is definitely worth a visit.

I love coming here whenever in Kerikeri, the waterfall is amazing with three different spots to view it from, and for the more energetic you use this as the start of an one hour walk. The waterfall itself is stunning, and well worth a visit as it is only a 5 minute walk from the carpark, and yet you feel... More
