An idyllic spot and a great reward if you've hiked up from the Stone Store about an away. Bring your swimming costume for a refreshing dip and float beneath the falls for an awe inspiring view! The riverside views are great on the walk up and you pass some smaller but still impressive falls along the way. It's a good... More

Beautiful waterfall with the cave behind it. Great story behind it. Not only that. You can walk along the beautiful ever changing river

The falls are beautiful and the hike there is quite nice and also easy so anyone could do it. You can also swim in the water under the falls if you want to.

We've seen several waterfalls in New Zealand and perhaps the proximity to a bustling town and number of people at Rainbow Falls diminishes it a bit.

Yes you really do see a rainbow in the waterfall. We were travelling aound New Zealand and this was on our list. There are toilets on the car park and a well maintained path with good viewing places. There is also a camp site close by.

Beautiful waterfalls, but do not decide to hike without shoes as the ways are gravel. That's the only negative thing, everything else is tidy and nice!

You go to the stones store and across the bridge and follow the sign to the waterfall ...lovely walk takes about 1.5 hours and you can also go across the over pass and around by car and see the fallls from above is you are not a walker!

I couldn't believe where we were going through a Suburb, shops, houses, oval then we turned into a car park, parked the car, walked across a grassed area and there were the falls. Couldn't believe it. Walkways to walk around the falls and see them from another perspective. Vegetation was beautiful as well, lush, green wonderful.
