One of the best parts of our trip to NZ!

If you are in the mood for a small adventure, hike across the rocky terrain behind the falls! It was amazing!

Fantastic views from the top as well as at the pools below. Lovely walking track with several walkers and runners. The mists coming off the falls felt wonderful on a hot summer day. There's a bench down near the pools that is a great place to stop to soak in some nature.

Recommend going to check out this waterfall, take your togs, can swim right up to bottom, or just for a look and to take some pics, either way just do it haha. There is also a walk there along the river, we only went on it for a little while then turned back but is very naturey and nice too.

Beautiful place to go for a walk and see the rushing water of the falls. Great photos. There is also a grassed area where you can have a picnic.

Hike up to it from the Stone Store - great little hike with another fall on the way. It's 8.6k round trip. Trail is in great shape and just follows the river.

It was mostly pouring down rain when my husband and I were at the falls, so we did not do as much walking as we had originally intended. Still, we enjoyed the short walk to the falls from the quiet car park which is literally at the end of a road. The setting for the falls is very lushly green.... More

Very interesting to visit and photograph. A little walk from the car park, but well worth the effort.

Only a 2 minute walk from where you park and you can stand on one of two viewing platforms and take in the beauty! If you have more time you can walk down the track to the lake. A must see.

Went solo and was already satisfied just by the beautiful track along the river all the way to Rainbow Falls. Perfect for families to relax and to more adventurous travellers to walk inside the waterfall or climb to the top. Really is perfect for anyone
