It was cool, but our time there was maybe 15 minutes and not worth it. Would be good for some little kids though!

We visited The Parrot Place in Kerikeri and were really impressed. I had expected to pay more than the $10 adult entrance fee. They also have vouchers with the Auckland Entertainment Guide. The hostess lead us to a cage where we could hold a bird each. We took lots and lots of photos. Each cage had information about the birds... More

This is very small but well worth the visit. We had a person tour to start and then was left to wander and feed some of the birds. We learnt a lot and came out smiling.

Never knew there are so many different kind of parrots. Great place to visit if you're in the area. Couldn't get my wife out of there. We'll definitely come back here!

First arrived and thought this place is tiny and should we even go in. Glad we decided to have a look around. The birds were awesome, so many varieties and so friendly. If you have ever wanted to feel like a pirate and have a bird hang out on your shoulder this is the place to go.

A great way to finish off a weekend away with the family up North. When our children were asked what their favourite thing was that they'd done, both of them had the Parrot Place at the top of their lists. The thing we liked most was that we could interact with and feed the birds in the walk-in aviaries. It... More

We visited on 24th April. It looks small from the outside and we were a bit unsure but it was great fun. The birds all look so happy and healthy. Nice trees and shrubs and an enjoyable wander around the aviaries. There are so many beautiful colourful birds from all over the world. Some are a bit shy while some... More

Located on the far side of the stone store (by the new by-pass). It is a great activity for young families. As you walk in (through the pet store (overstocked!)) you are met by a lady offering pet birds to hold and have your photo taken. The birds are very well behaved! There are a lot of different parrots in... More
