Stumbled across this place by accident. It was really cool. Got to feed some of the parrots in the avery. They were full of character. The guy who was running the place was really friendly too! Kept us busy for over an hour.

$10 entrance fee, but well worth it. We were first there this day, and we had the owner's full attention. He gave us great stories about the birds, and let us handle all the tame ones. I loved a small powder blue Indian ring-neck or took to me straight away. She advanced up my arm, kinking her neck and looking... More

Whole heartedly recommend this bird zoo. Spend an hour or so learning about the parrots while holding and feeding them. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff too.

An awesome place, blown away as soon as we entered. The time and energy sent taming all exhibits so the public can interact with almost every bird was mind blowing. We went to look and purchase a parrot and were that impressed we will be going back. Thank you for a wonderful couple of hours.

Entertaining parrots- macaws, conures, ringnecks, cockatiels, finches etc. Friendly staff & knowledgable on parrot informations. Entertaining tamed parrots that crawls on on finger up to your shoulder. Then, say cheez -- picture perfect! Kids will... More

Tucked away in Kerikeri this is a gem and if you love birds a must to visit. Not very large but the owner has made the most of the space he has and is well kept and clean. On entering we were given a parrot each to handle and they were a delight, then after given a handful of nuts... More
