Great day cruising in the bay of Islands! Glen was responsive and efficient in the booking process (unlike one or two others I also tried to contact!) and was a great host throughout the day. Only decided to go at 9.20am this morning and was on the boat before 10am! The atmosphere was really laid back and chilled but at... More

What better way to see the Bay of Islands, NZ, than from a boat? There are lots of options available, but for people who like sailing you can't beat seeing the Bay from a sail yacht - *She's a Lady* fulfilled that for me. Nothing special about the boat; it's a standard cabin yacht. Owned by Glen Caulton, the yacht... More

We had arranged for a private charter being a small group from a cruise ship that tendered in Bay of Islands for a day. We were met by the ever smiling Skipper Dave (as we christened him!!) and inter a brief intro of the yach and safety demo we were off! Dave has to be one of the loveliest guys... More

It was a beautiful day on a great boat. We applied to a totally idyllic beach and you could take the kayak or simply take a walk on the island, from where they had a great view of the Bay aud to Iceland. Our skipper David was a very nice guy and could tell us many interesting things. Lunch is... More

While a winter sail in the Bay of Islands may not be everyones cup of tea - with crystal clear waters, abundant wildlife and temperatures often in the upper "teens" it can be a delightful proposition. The lack of other boats adds to the special feeling as you explore hidden coves, pristine sandy beaches and gaze at dolphins and blue... More

It was relaxing and exciting depending on what you wanted to do! the sailing to the island was relaxing but the captain was a character and was fun to talk to! The island was both beautiful and relaxing but if hiking, kayaking, or swimming fancies you then theres an adventure out there! Also the sandwich and drink given on the... More

We took this tour from a cruise ship in April while visiting the Bay of Islands in New Zealand. When we got on the boat, I was impressed that Dave gave us a safety talk before we sailed. He then had one of the other passengers who had never sailed before, use the wheel to sail the ship. This passenger... More

This tour and guide Dave, were excellent. We met at the dock had a quick introduction to our day and a safety chat and then off we sailed. Those of us that wanted to try our hand at sailing whether it was to steer or help with the rigging were encouraged and others who wanted to just sit and enjoy... More

Day was okay but nothing to write home about. Perhaps it is living off past glories. The snorkelling equipment was mostly broken and needs urgently updating. Lunch was a sandwich and cookie. By far the biggest crumble was the boat was way overcrowded with 16 people. This isn't a cheap day out and they need to cut the numbers to... More

We went on this trip with our daughter and her partner and all really enjoyed the day. Plenty of opportunity to sail the boat if you wanted ( a great boat to try out in a good wind) or just relax . There is plenty of space on deck for chillaxing. The island we stopped at for lunch was good for... More
