We had a group of 4 that sailed to Culebrita with Captain Dan on March 1. He also had 2 other passengers that joined our cruise. Dan was super laid back, but he made sure to go through the entire safety briefing and pointed out how we could help him sail the boat. The day we picked had very light... More

Having daysailed and chartered crewed yachts in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands since 2000, I can without hesitation say that Capt. Dan is the most proficient sailor I’ve ever sailed with. He does it with aplomb and absence of attitude. His “real” job when he’s not sailing from Culebra is a captain on his “real” boat in San Francisco.... More

We had a great pre-dinner sale around Honda Bay with Capt. Dan. He had many interesting insights into this strange and wonderful island! Call Capt. Dan for a sail! I hear he does an amazing trip out to Tortuga beach.

We spent a perfect day sailing to Dakity and Culebrita for a great snorkel, manageable small hike and time on a seriously perfect beach. The tidal pools that Capt. Dan took us to were awesome - definitely otherworldly and something we never would have found on our own. The sailing part was amazing and my favorite. It had been several... More

I’ve read so many reviews from Honeymooners and Sunset Cruisers, and I wondered, “How will my 9-yr-old like this?”… Well, HE WAS IN HEAVEN! We sailed w/Capt.Dan on Jan 2, 2012, as a Family of 3 - and our destination was Isla Culebrita. The winds were a little swift, the surf a little high and the tidal surges were magnificent.... More

During a recent vacation to Puerto Rico, my boyfriend and I were looking for an ideal day trip to one of the islands that would end up creating one of my most cherished memories of our relationship thus far. We had received various recommendations to day trip to Culebra so upon our arrival to the island from the ferry and... More

Captain Dan took us out on a evening/night sail around Culebra...Beautiful! Capt Dan is very friendly and wonderful tour guide. He is from San Fransisco, where he charters boats for six months out of the year, before coming down to Culebra to do the same. He gave us some really interesting facts about the island, before we went up to... More

One of the best experiences. Sailing then a bit of hiking and we found ourselves in paradise on earth. The beach at culebrita was almost empty and thanks to Dan we saw places we would have never seen otherwise. Highly recommend. We were 5 adults ages 56 to 20 and everyone had an amazing time

We had a pleasant day with the Captain. The 28-foot boat was a bit small for 6 people, but it was fun sailing off to the uninhabited part of Culebra for the day. Food at our place of lodging was scarce, so we had packed a strange variety of foodstuffs: a whole pineapple, cold cuts, pickles, hamburger buns, peanut butter,... More

A big thank you to Dan! Our trip with him was definitely one the of the best memories of our vacation. Culebrita was amazingly beautiful and I enjoyed the hike around the island and the beaches there are incredible. I didn't want to leave! Dan is a wonderful captain and guide - if you don't do this day tour with... More
