This is an adventure that you should come see. It is an interesting drive and be prepared for a walk. The end result is amazing water and paradise. Pay the guides the fee and they will take you and show you the safe ways to get to were you are going!

You just have to go. Cool water, great guides. Amazing scenery . It takes a bit of time and closely following signs to get there. There are good signs off National rte 4, west of Jacmel. That road is very nice. Once you get to the first "y" in the road there is a left turn onto a paved road,... More

The ride up to Bassin Bleu is somewhat challenging. The guides well don't listen to the others below. If you are a backpacker. The 100 gourde for a guide is sufficient If you arrive in an SUV then obviously you are better able to pay something like 400 gourde. That said. This is not for folks who can't handle a... More

my fault but i did not read any reviews of this place before venturing there so i showed up with flip flops expecting a quick walk to see the falls. not so... the hike itself is not hard but it had recently rained and was very slippery. the guides were wonderful and really helped us navigate the way to the... Once we were there, we had a beautiful hike and swim, but getting there was a challenge. We were driving ourselves, and it tok us quite a while to find our way there. That being said, the way back was easy, so if you have someone who knows where they are going, I am sure the traveling will not seem... More

As the other reviewers stated, it is incredible and beautiful and you will love it. As far as pricing goes, the fee is 100 gourdes ($2.32 US). Don't let them charge you more than that. There are a number of guides available, these are the guys you can tip generously. They were very helpful navigating the rocks, holding cameras and... More

The waterfalls are beautiful and the guides as nice and helpful but be sure to sort out your guide and how you plan to pay or tip them before heading in to the waterfalls.

Bassin Bleu has great clear waters. I’m not a big swimmer but still enjoy the cold fresh water. A guide will take you down to Bassin Bleu. PLEASE PLEASE discuss pricing before you head down. So that everyone on the same page and there is no confusion regarding tip; because they will try to take advantage of you. It’s a... More
