The adventure starts on the road to the Bassin Blue, which is a bit crazy, half paved and half not (meaning 300m yes, 300 not, 300 yes, 300 not with no logical sense to it!) and we had to wade a kind of river with our 4x4 pick up! There's a small fee to visit the place and guides that... More

I won't tell you how to get there because it's a secret. tour companies are destroying the jungle with their trucks and vans. if you really have to see this paradise, show some respect and ask a local to take you.

Wonderful place! Beautiful falls, cool refreshing swim, great guides. Ask for Sadrac . . . he's wonderful!

We went with our children ages 12 and 9 and a few other family members. There was about a 7-10min hike to the Bassin from where you park your car, but it was so beautiful and refreshing once you got there and it was cool the way you have to take a rope to get to the main Bassin.

If your are stuck here with nothing to do, maybe worth visiting...but seriously, it does not rate in the top 2000 things I have seen in my 50 years. It will cost you a good US$70 for transport plus guides plus tips from Jacmel. Just wonder why the well-compensated guides do not gather the plastic bottles and other trash from... More

We drove from port au Prince to jacmel. About a 2.5 hour drive. Bassin Bleu was an amazing experience. It was an adventure from the hike to the 3 bassins, to the rope descent and finally the jump into the deep bleu bassin. I brought water shoes with me which I found helpful. Since I am not a strong swimmer... More

This place is a must for those looking for hidden gems off the beaten path. My fiance and I went there and it was a gorgeous oasis and felt like we were in a forgotten rainforest. Definately worth the mild intensity hike to get there! I would definately recommend and go again!

Bassin Bleau is one of those subtle surprises that has you commenting, "Wow! I never knew Haiti was so beautiful!" I have been to this wonderful place many times and each time is has me amazed. Talk with the locals about the mermaids that reside in the bottom of these magical pools and makes the trip even more of a... More

This is a must do!! We had a guide, which was helpful given the uneven terrain to get to the basins. Once there the climb down looks tricky, but it is actually not so bad (and I'm 56 and overweight!) Once in the main pool, it was an amazing experience swimming in the glowing blue pool, looking up, and seeing... More
