If your are stuck here with nothing to do, maybe worth visiting...but seriously, it does not rate in the top 2000 things I have seen in my 50 years. It will cost you a good US$70 for transport plus guides plus tips from Jacmel. Just wonder why the well-compensated guides do not gather the plastic bottles and other trash from... More

We drove from port au Prince to jacmel. About a 2.5 hour drive. Bassin Bleu was an amazing experience. It was an adventure from the hike to the 3 bassins, to the rope descent and finally the jump into the deep bleu bassin. I brought water shoes with me which I found helpful. Since I am not a strong swimmer... More

This place is a must for those looking for hidden gems off the beaten path. My fiance and I went there and it was a gorgeous oasis and felt like we were in a forgotten rainforest. Definately worth the mild intensity hike to get there! I would definately recommend and go again!

Bassin Bleau is one of those subtle surprises that has you commenting, "Wow! I never knew Haiti was so beautiful!" I have been to this wonderful place many times and each time is has me amazed. Talk with the locals about the mermaids that reside in the bottom of these magical pools and makes the trip even more of a... More

This is a must do!! We had a guide, which was helpful given the uneven terrain to get to the basins. Once there the climb down looks tricky, but it is actually not so bad (and I'm 56 and overweight!) Once in the main pool, it was an amazing experience swimming in the glowing blue pool, looking up, and seeing... More

the hike to get there was strenuous but worth the trip. The water was clear and refreshing, The view on the drive up was breath taking.

Like many things, it is not exactly like it's pictures. However, Bassin Bleu is a must see when in Jacmel. Bring a bathing suit!! Also, go with the guide. They only want a small tip at the end and mine was very entertaining and informative. Have fun!

Beautiful but missing accessibility. Difficult to hike to the last bassin. Don't let the guys at the entry fool you to pay more than what you already paid for entry and parking on site.

We took a moto taxi from Hotel Florita (it was 1000 gourde) for the moto taxi to and from the location. Then we paid 100 gourde for entrance and about 500 gourde for 2 guides to hike with us. You don't really need the guides unless you need their help to climb up on the rocks at the waterfall to... More

My friends and I went to Bassin Bleu and it is breathtaking. The drive from Jacmel is about an hour and once you get to the location from there it's a 20 minute walk to get to the cliff. However it's well worth it. Be careful as many tourist will try to guide you to the waterfall and expect a... More
