My husband and I took our 3 children to visit Bassin Bleu. We made arrangements with Sadrac ahead of time. Sadrac was very kind, helpful and trustworthy. We felt safe with Sadrac and he is great with kids. We took life jackets for the 4 and 5 year olds because the water is really deep. The hike is beautiful and... More

Bassin Blue is off the beating path, but once you reach it it's paradise on earth. A very unique with one of the most beautiful waterfall I ever seen. I would recommend you go with a tour guide or a native, there are many children who will try to all help you at once expecting a tip.

It's true that Bassin Bleu is beautiful. The scenery is beautiful, the hike up to the gathering point is doable for most people. It can be very crowded with visitors, which can make the narrow paths on the edge of the hill a bit scary. The biggest downfall for this attraction is that it's not regulated. Local guides will hound... More

Unique place! A bit tough to get there but once arrived it worth the pain on the motor bike. A fee would be ask at the entrance a 100 goudes then if a guide would go with you gonna ask you as well something. The place is a little piece of paradise so make sure you have enough time to... More

If you go to Jacmel you must visit Bassin Bleu. The journey is over a river creek and up the side of a steep hill. Don't go in an ordinary saloon, the path is rugged, you need a 4wheel drive. I went even further and hired a driver who turned up with a 2 ton truck. When you get there,... More

Amazing altogether! The way there and back is pretty quick seeing that the scenery on the way is captivating. We hired a private guide, the best...bring a waterproof camera!

Bassin Bleu was the perfect spot for us. This waterfall is amazing. It is just a few minutes away from our hotel. So we walk there.

nothing i dislike. take a donkey, horse or a mototaxi up, walk back. spend no time on the lowest pool and all on the upper two. on the thrid one, climb up the waterfall with quite some help from a local.

My friends and I spent a weekend on the beach in Jacmel and threw in this trip almost as an afterthought, but I am extremely happy we did. The trailhead is about a 30 minute drive up into the hill northwest (roughly) from downtown Jacmel. Note that if you pull up to trailhead in a nice car, the locals there... More

Even though it rained the night before and waters were muddy, this was a breathtaking view, beautiful cold water, and a fun nature hike. Doesn't get more natural than this :)
