After almost an hour off the main road and bad mountain roads we arrived and were greated by about 20 young men wanting to quide us. After paying the entry fee and being given an official quide we departed accompanied by four other men. We told them we had our quide and did not want or need them and would... More

Bassin bleu was amazing! The best swimming hole I have ever been to and not crowded like it would be in a more touristy country. Getting there: there are multiple ways to get to bassin bleu. If you walk from town, from the main roundabout turn right past the police station and keep going till you are at the edge... More

Bassin Bleu is a definitely beautiful place. Several lakes following one another and crowned by the largest one with a rock in its middle and surrounded with a huge wall releasing a waterfall. Everything is nice..., but the service sucks. We've got there with our driver. At the foot of the mountain she was told by the lockal bike drivers... More

Beautiful place with nice, cool water to swim. You will hike around 20 min to get there. There are other "Bassins" on the way but make sure you go all the way to Bassin Bleu. The last part of the trek you must go down a rope but it's easy because steps have been carved into the rock and it's... More

My family went there, we had a good time. We were a bit nervous about the rope, but it was fine. The tour guys were very helpful and knowledgeable about the place. Overall, it's a beautiful place. Please bring comfortable shoes with good grip, cause u will b climbing on wet rocks.

Beautiful waterfalls and blue pools. Swimming in the basin to the waterfall is amazing and you can climb up underneath the falls, letting the water slash down on you. The guides are friendly and helpful making sure you get the whole experience. A true gem!

I loved it!!!!! I'm from Haiti and it was my first time there in 2011. The tour guides were so helpful. The water looks so amazing and beautiful! I hope to go back again.

First off you need a good 4x4 to get there as the roads represent a real challenge but once you get there it really worth it. I've visited most of the southern part of Haïti and that was my Coup de coeur !!!!

Hotel organized a driver/guide - it's a short walk more than a hike to Bassin Bleu. We were the only people there, swam in the upper basin for half an hour - an otherworldly experience.
