Beautiful but missing accessibility. Difficult to hike to the last bassin. Don't let the guys at the entry fool you to pay more than what you already paid for entry and parking on site.

We took a moto taxi from Hotel Florita (it was 1000 gourde) for the moto taxi to and from the location. Then we paid 100 gourde for entrance and about 500 gourde for 2 guides to hike with us. You don't really need the guides unless you need their help to climb up on the rocks at the waterfall to... More

My friends and I went to Bassin Bleu and it is breathtaking. The drive from Jacmel is about an hour and once you get to the location from there it's a 20 minute walk to get to the cliff. However it's well worth it. Be careful as many tourist will try to guide you to the waterfall and expect a... More

We drove about two hours from our hotel to get here and it was totally worth it. This is a strenuous trek . Definitely take a local guide with you. They are super helpful guys guys that know the path and physically assist you along the way When you arrive, they will all flock to you for your business so... More

You need to be comfortable doing a bit of scrambling down/over rocks to get to the main waterfall and you will get a bit wet. Really not difficult. Billed as "stunning" in my guide it really wasn't and after heavy rain neither was it blue. All the water was a murky brown colour. A bit of a damp squib.

If your physically fit then this is a great trek for you if not stay home or at your hotel . I love this spot but you need a local guide they are amazing guys that know the terrain and can save you from breaking a leg or smashing your head in a stone . When you arrive they will... More

A guide id not necessary, even if they say it is mandatory. Just make your arrangement to guy inside the house and pay only to him.

Five of us hired a pickup truck driver and guide through the Hotel Florita. Enjoyed the drive up and the hike into the Bassin Bleu. We went straight to the upper pool, got help from the rope guys who trailed us on the hike to climb down the little cliff (maybe 12 feet). None of this was too difficult for... More

This was an excellent afternoon adventure, with a fantastic moto driver and and easy hike to the pretty swimming spot. I debated how to get here and eventually let one of the guys hanging out in the hotel (Florita) lobby contract a moto to take me, wait, and bring me back. He asked 1,000G, I said 500 was the most...
