An adventure from beginning `til end. It takes a while to get there if you decide to hike, but it is all worth it. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. Once you get there, it is a good idea to hire a guide, because they know their way more easily. I truly recommend it. More

was checking out Basin Bleu with Haitian friends and friends visiting from the states (who also loved the experience). There are 3 possible spots on the waterfall to jump from and plenty of friendly haitians around to help. Gorgeous spot- recommend bringing a picnic and planning to spend the day there. More

I took advantage of a free afternoon by going to the Bassin-Bleu (water falls). Because it was rainy we had to take a moto bike instead of a 4x4 car. I don’t ride moto’s at home but I loved this! We never went up to any speed that I’d be very of falling off the bike at. It was about... More

It's fun to get to (although slightly hard to find by yourself) - across the river and up through the steep roads - definitely need a 4x4 to drive - the guides take you through the waterfalls and the third one is really spectacular! Great for a swim and some relaxing!! More

It only takes about 30 minutes to get to Bassin Bleu from Jacmel. I recommend hiring someone to take you by motobike. The ride up there is a little bumpy but it is fun! There are a few watering holes and waterfalls, but the most famous one is the last waterfall on the hike that you have to use a... More

Eating good foods and sleeping in the quiet rooms at the Cyvadier Hotel, go for a footing at Fort oge and Etang Bossier, not too far from Cyvadier. Go for a wonderful rhum sour at La Colline Enchantee: Here is the best vacation you will ever have in Jacmel More

When people visit Jacmel must take the extra day--and visit Bassin Bleu--a waterfall forming two bottomless blue pools--in the mountains outside of Jacmel. In all the years I have been suggesting the trip, to hundreds of people, not one person has found it less than extraordinary. (I still try to go every time I go to Jacmel). And the way... More
