After a short ferry from the West End on Tortola we arrived on Jost Van Dyke. Get the early ferry as it gets busy later in the day. We opted for the short taxi ride to White Bay. You could walk but why sweat it when you can share the love & a chat with a local on the way.... More

This is one of my favorite spots in the BVI! We were there last week on July 30th and 31st. A group of us were touring the BVI on Catamarans. The water is super clear and a beautiful blue due to how white the sand is here. Gertrude's is a must for lunch and/or Dinner!! Great food! The Roti is... More

We frequently go to Jost and stay there mostly because we like White Bay so much but it is getting really crowded. The problem is that there used to be about 5-10 boats moored at the bay and now at least 30 come in every day. Many packed to the max with daytrippers from other islands. The boats are allowed... Spent a week at the SandCastle OMG! The beach is white sand, the water is blue, clear and warm. Easy walk from one end to the other. Need shoes to walk down to Ivan Stress Free Bar you have to walk up a hill and over large rocks. Trust me flip flops don't cut it!

Loved This area. Absolutely beautiful beach. Mooring can be difficult. Moor in Great Bay and dinghy over. Ivan's is the place to be. Quiet and great food, drinks and people. The soggy dollar is nice, but much more rowdy and lots of drunk college kids.

When approaching White Bay, do not be fooled by the structures to the right, unless you are not interested in the Soggy Dollar Bar or One Love Bar, those are located to the left. This is a must stop if you would like to try the original Painkiller drink from the Soggy Dollar Bar, which by the way is fantastic!!... More

Depending on what you are looking for in a spot, this could be good or bad. The good is that this beach has the famous bar Soggy Dollar (spelling), home of the Pain Killer drink. It is a busy scene with one bathroom. Because the boats are allowed to motor right on up to the shore you are not going... More

We hung out in front of the Soggy Dollar for hours. Calm blue waters and beautiful scenery. Plenty of lounge chairs were available for the eight of us to grab and bring to the water's edge. When we had a little too much sun, we retreated to the shade of palm trees to lie in hammocks. A few cocktails, some... More
