We went on a tour of this small winery and then did some wine tasting. Small fee. Loved the Iceberg wines and the Moose Joose. We tried the Outport Wine which is a blend of Screech Rum and Raspberry wine. I didn't like it but she told us that people mix it like a cocktail. Tried it with a flavored... More

The Auk Island Winery uses berries for wine making. The various wines have a distinctive flavor that is very refreshing. The winery is small and is only available in Newfoundland but the gift shop has small bottles (and large) that make excellent gifts. The tour includes a wine tasting and also a lot of information about the berries used in... More

This winery is very small. The tour consisted of standing in one room while the tour guide pointed to the different plastic barrels and explained what they were used for and the wine making process. She was knowledgeable but if you have ever been to Napa Valley or another larger winery, you will be disappointed...No photos were allowed in this... More

The tour consisted of a short walk down a flight of stairs to be told about equipment we couldn't see and an inactive conveyor belt. The tasting was good. All in all 5$ isn't expensive and you can drink enough to make it worth the stop

We have toured many wineries, so we passed on the tour and just did the tasting. $3.00 gives you a taste of as many of their wines as you like, which is pretty good if you're used to doing tastings in grape-wine regions. They have a couple of grape wines, neither of which is impressive, but the variety of berries... More

We opted for the tasting but not the tour. The tasting was $3 while the tasting and tour combined would have been $5. Lovely the bakeapple ice wine. They now have 16 kinds of wine.

Although it was inexpensive ($3 a person) to do the sampling, the server was less than engaging and could not (or would not) answer our questions (maybe because we didn't pay to go on a tour?). The wines have fun names (who doesn't want to try Moose Juice?) and we bought 2 tiny bottles to make berry wine spritzers on... More

Do not come expecting what you would from established wineries. The tour is quick but informative; you get to taste some frozen berries, sample some iceberg water, and stand inside a sectioned off area of the processing floor. Afterwards you go to the tasting; about 12 or so wines. The tasting is done over the wine bottles and you have... More

Not impressed to have to pay for wine tasting & tour (stand in the processing area) even though we bought two cases of wine. Some 'samples' were a mouthful depending on which person was serving you. We have had two bottles of the Nautica and we both agreed the sample tasted much better. We are hoping that we don't have... More

They charge you for taking a tour but all you get is to stand in the processing room and have a staff member talk about their varieties of wine and what they are made of. It is nothing but a sales pitch. You see nothing of the process of making wine, handling the fruit - just the containers the wine... More
