Nice few hours spent in the house and grounds. The house was was very interesting. Seeing where Churchill lived and the obvious love he had for his home was very enjoyable.

We had a very pleasant afternoon at Chartwell Winston Churchill's home. The guides in the house were very knowledgable and the grounds and view spectacular.

Really good house and amazing gardens Was a little disappointed with the house though - only seemed hake open. But the rooms that were open really enjoyed. Great gardens & plenty of parking Cafe seemed nice but didn't eat there
An incredible experience on a beautiful summer day. The house and gardens were enchanting fantastic views over the Kent countryside. The history of Winston Churchill was very well documented and all the guides in the house were well informed and very helpful. There are very good facilities and I would recommend this as well worth a visit.
The house is excellent, the rooms have been set out in a way that it seems the great man could walk back in at any moment. The gardens are a delight and the views over the Downs lovely. If you are into history, or wonderful countryside for that matter, Chartwell is the place! You really soak up the feel of this place and almost expect to run into the great man - it's done so well and sympathetically. Charwell can and does get crowded, so avoid weekend peaks if at all possible. Do go.
we had a brilliant time here, would recommend to anyone, visited twice now and was not disapointed on the second trip. Very atmospheric - you can imagine what took place during the war years
A facsinating day out. the grounds are beautiful, and I would only expect them to get better over the next couple of months as the various plants and shrubs come into their own. We are likely tio revisit before the summer is out to see the gardens in the full bloom.
The house is interesting and gives a good insight...
