I have been to Wheelgate many times in the past 18 months and my two daughters 4 and 6 love it. They can confidently run around and go on rides designed for their ages. I find it a great place to come because you don't get groups of teenagers or adults haha tearing around everywhere. There are many different play... More

We have been to Wheelgate around three times in the past 4 years, and my child has always enjoyed it. Yes the place is a little tired, but overall I'd say it's ok for what you pay for. My child's star attraction is the indoor play area with its free fall slide. The place is massive, big enough for adults,... More

Just visited with son, daughter-in law and granddaughter, aged 17 months. This is the ideal place for the young ones to visit. With the animal enclosures and the farm area the children can get as close to nature as is possible. This together with a few rides and a water park area, the children can really spend all day here and not get bored.... Visited for the first time in August 2014 with my two girls aged 5 and 8 and was quite impressed! Got a 25% off voucher online from Grimsby newspaper - cost approx. £40 to get in , 2 adults, " children. Quite a lot of different stuff to do, enough to entertain both for the day. There is a fab... Another fun day taking Grandchildren out. They had a really good day.Plenty to do for them.Yes as has been said in other reviews the place could do with a bit of LTC but it doesnt bother the kids like perhaps some adults. The bird display was absolutely great. The trainers did a great job of explaining everything.Better if I may say so the... Visited the "park" with my daughter and granddaughter. Was initially surprised at the amount on offer compared to how it was years ago when we visited. Disappointment quickly set in....Unkempt, unswept tropical house lacking any thing interesting just a poor green sad looking bird in a cage, dirty toilets without toilet paper, over full bins, old non descript metal dome... Piles of rubbish and broken fences abound, shabby shabby shabby. The day we went, half the free rides were out of order leaving expensive rides to be had when we had already forked out nigh on £100 for our family of 6 to enter, not good - especially in the summer hols. Too big for our toddler and too small... More

Went for the day and it is great. Lots to do with the kids. Almost everything in there is free so there's no saying no to loads of things. We spent the whole day there and there is loads of spots to have a picnic. The bird show is well worth a watch and the farm yard animals are lovely... More

Visited with family on the last bonus hot day of Summer, and stayed from opening until closing. It's surprising how many facilities are packed into such a relatively small site. Overall, the facilities are well maintained (apart from the toilets at the entrance next to the shop, urgh), lots of outdoor play areas, and importantly for any UK attraction, lots... More

This isn't an expensive place to visit with small children as they are free, plus we had a voucher code as adults, costing in total a little over £20. However I would say you get what you pay for. The park is dirty, and most areas are in desperate need of a full refurbishment. Very disappointing :-(
