For those wanting a small grasp of local London East End history, war memorabilia, this will hit the spot. Situated inside the library it is surprisingly quite spacious, plenty of room to walk about with kids in toe. All in all quite insightful and educational.

I was staying in Ilford for a week and wanted to know something of the history of the area. The museum is above the Redbridge Central Library with lift access. An excellent exhibition, well set out and with clear informative panels. It gave me a real sense of the past and a greater appreciation of the present.

These new drastic changes to the library have seemed to totally ruin it - the staff now choose to ID those who look like they're in school and have hired *friendly* 'bouncers' to police the rowdy kids. My little brother was turned away at the door, as apparently a school ID isn't enough - I arrived later to try and... More

By the thought that had gone into the Great War (and its effect on the local area ) exhibition in this small museum. Very popular with locals and deservedly so. Part of the 1980s Central Library building

This Museum is not usually open on a Monday as I first discovered when I went there. The Museum isn't very large but was free to the general public,it's great to show the kids when you take them to change their books.....

Upstairs in main library building right in the town centre, so not a dedicated museum building, therefore it may not be easy to find unless you know it's there. Lots to discover and regularly changing displays.
