It is always nice to see and to learn more about the Saint Bernard dogs. However, the museum was only in French and we could not really play with the cute dogs.

If you speak French then this is a reasonable outing, but the dogs really look very miserable. I felt quite sorry for the dogs, we were not able to touch them just view them from glass windows. The photos are quite amazing and it is a lovely story about Barry. I believe you can get an Audi guide in your... More

Lovely setting with a well priced restaurant. You can get souvenirs Close walk from train station. Amphitheater next door. Bern museum had a better display but the stamps were interesting. Combining Bern museum with this and the Grand St Bernard was well worth it.

On our way to tour Northern Italy we made this stop to learn more about the history of these amazing dogs. The museum is quaint and the people are nice. They offer the self guided tour with a companion booklet in your language. Of course the best part is petting the dogs. We are true dog lovers who were missing... More

I got to spend an hour with Esther, Easy and Callie and it was just great fun. The walk was easy and Callie was such a gentle dog. Apparently, they take Callie to visit the handicapped and older folks and I bet she is a real hit. Big dog but so gentle.

There were 18 St Bernards in residence in July (with others up at the monastery kennels at the Pass). The museum described their history, but the best part was the dogs who were right there.

We don't really like dogs but couldn't resist coming to visit the adorable St. Bernard dogs and their puppies in Martigny (an otherwise dull town). As it was on our way, we were happy to while away a couple of hours here and it was very easy to do so. There are lots of well looked-after dogs to see and... More

Learned a lot about the pass, the St. Bernard breed and the hospice. Great attractions for kids, as the puppies they have are very playful.

This museum is a great place for a short visit. Located on the fringes of Martigny close to the main road to Italy, it is easily found by car and has a car park next door. This car park is also used by the 'tourist train' that drives up to the Chateau de la Batiaz through town. The museum itself... More

This was in an easy to find spot with a car park across the road. The Amphitheatre was right next door. We arrived at about 12.30 so thought it best to eat before going in, but the menu in the café was mostly meals, when all we wanted was a snack / baguette , so in the end gave it... More
