This was an architecturrally interesting building, with changing exhibitions every few months. Outside there are many sculptures in the gardens. Beneath this building is a car museum, with cars dating back to 1898, some very early Swiss cars as well, you can watch a movie on how one would purchase a car many years ago. This was by purchasing the... More

Fondation Gianadda is a unique museum attracting art lovers from the world for its permanent and temporary exhibitions. When we went there, it was all around Matisse and was exceptional. I also love the old cars display. And the garden is also worth a walk for its sculptures. Really don't miss it if you are around (Geneva in only 90... More

The Foundation puts on some good exhibits, so I am a regular visitor. This time I stopped by to see the Matisse exhibit. I was hoping that my very active young sons would enjoy the permanent exhibit of historic cars, but as I knew there was an excellent and spacious sculpture garden outside, I soon sent them outside to run... This place is absolutely amazing, a very international art museum in a small city like Martigny attracting more that 600'000.- people per year.

We visited this wonderful gallery for the second time this year to see the Matisse and his contemporaries exhibition. We were stunned by the quality of the work on view and had an interesting visit. The shop is good value and the sculpture on permanent show in the garden is amazing. We came from France by car. The parking is... More

This foundation has a permanent collection, with a great collection of very old cars and hosts regularly temporary exhibit of high interest (Currently Matisse). The ticket gives access to all exhibits. Worth a stop if you are passing by Martigny.

At equivalent of £15ish, entrance, this is enough to scare the horses. They should quieten down however on seeing the Matisse exhibition (until 22 November '15). The important part of it tho' are the works of his contemporaries as well as Matisse. Often Matisse comes in 2nd, which was a bit of a surprise for me. Don't omit the Cartier-Bresson... More

Nothing to say against the exhibitions as there are world class ones and always excllent. But please! Renew this building. Or at least the entrance! Is it normal that people have to queue out of the building as the cashier is located next to the door entrance? No! Is it normal that backpack or bag holders have to leave their... More

This is the arts centre with the most beautiful setting that I have ever visited. With the mountains behind it, a beautiful garden filled with sculptures and Roman ruins it is worth a visit whatever the current show. The car museum is a permanent feature reminding us that Switzerland once had a car industry. A beautiful Rolls Royce and a... More
