Flims is large resort and part of an area is situated on a plateau above the Rhine Gorge just outside Chur in Graubünden. Not too many shops, but is very Swiss in appeal, with very little concrete buildings. The infrastructure is a little fragmented although reliable. When staying in a hotel the 'Guest Car' provided has its limitations and is... More

I had heard that Laax was the place to go for snowboarders, and I definitely wasn't disappointed. I am not the most experienced boarder around but the many blue and red runs meant that there were loads of great slopes to chose from. Our visit in March was flooded with sunshine as well as fresh snow and the conditioners were... More

Laax is THE place for young riders looking for a radical experience in the Alps. The best park in Europe and modern lifts to get you around in a fast way. Easy access from Zurich airport.

We came with another family and did spent a week in the Rocks Resort. We were lucky enough to find only few people around so we barely had any waiting times on the ski lifts, hence were able to enjoy the fantastic views and the great slopes. We definitely will come back!

It is a good resort, with a fair amount of pistes and cable cars. Especially the glacier is great. But we had not enough snow and although they have many snow canons with artificial snow, about 60% of the whole area was not prepared. A lot of pistes were closed and signage was poor. But nonetheless they charge you for... More

Just said it. The snow depth reports bore no relation to reality and the weather predictions were totally over-optimistic

Great resort for intermediates, some fun blues with a little difficulty and some long easy runs for the family.

Good new lifts, but the connections aren't that good when you're coming from Laax. We sat half of the day on the lifts instaid of skiing. For us it was ok, but we had one 'beginner', and then we had to take the bus to Flims first for the easy slopes. You can't get to the easy slopes without first... More

Had a very nice week there in mid-Feb 2013. Slopes are pretty easy, and in good condition and well-maintained. The lifts are very new and and the rental areas are superbly done. Restaurants in the slopes and lift tickets and transportation are expensive. There were not much queues at the lifts.
