Lajara is a village on the way to El Cotillo. Hidden attractions here. Just driving through you could miss it all and your Blood Pressure would not have reduced to very laid back levels. I guess its perhaps good to come in the evening, or get to know a few other people staying here, or stay a few days and... More

Lovely laid back little village. We only went there because the pharmacy in El Cotillo no longer exists, and this is the closest pharmacy. Lots of interesting little cafes, shops and restaurants, and a slightly bigger supermarket than in El Cotillo. Has a fantastic chilled vibe, worth a detour. Super little craft shop next door to the pharmacy with great... More

village in middle of nowhere we ate at la mama and cycled miles to do just that , nice home cooking tapas and sandwiches , cycle paths lovely and smooth (but for drainage dips occasionally) all the way to the coast and towards the corralejo road .

interesting village with craft shops, one of which a delightful ceramic shop, well worth a visit and of course the Aloe Vera shop, and supermarket (supermercedo) and bars/restaurants. You can walk up the nearby volcano and take a nice little stroll around relaxing and seeing canarian villas.

it has a number of little shops and cafes, all very nice and clean. Most of them look half closed but get past the frontage and theres much more behind. Well worth a stop on the tour of the island or coming back to Corralejo from Cotillo

Amazing walk to see crater. Don't wear sandals or open shoes! Tough enough in spots but worth it when the top is reached.

The village is as many posters have said a nice little place to stop off for a coffee, drink or have meal on your way to and from El Cotillo. It is also a lively place in the evening with regular open mike sessions at the excellent Canela bar/restaurant. Wednesday night is normally the best. There is nothing much to... More
