Son Servera is a delightful town set three miles behind Cala Bona and easily walked to. Sit in the quiet main square by a medieval church and enjoy very reasonably priced snacks and drinks in the shade of a huge magnolia. The side streets are really unspoilt Spain, and the Iglesia Nova stunning.

This is a very strange building: it seems a ruin until you discover it was deliberately (so I understand) left unfinished as a kind of Gothic folly. In the summer it is used for performances and must be very atmospheric in the moonlight, though we visited in the day time. I'd love to know more about it.
