We went for a day out to the old town Alcudia Market. We took a taxi from Viva Sunrise to the market costing 6 Euros. Only 10 minutes away. Market very busy but good can get local produce and souvenirs. More

The buildings were beautiful and there were quiet cool places to visit. It was just charming. We enjoyed walking round the old town walls and eating lunch in a lovely restaurant in a quiet side road. For shoppers, the market was a joy - full of colourful clothes, jewellery, handbags etc, plus lovely fresh fruit. More

A lovely old town easily reached from the resorts by public transport although the market days of Sunday and Tuesday you are mike a sardine on the buses. if your looking for culture on your holiday head to alcudia old town the local market is held on a tuesday 9am-12 set inside the gate of alcudia you'll find stalls a plenty practice your haggling skills and grab yourself some bargains if haggling isn't really your thing there'slots of boutique shops set along the winding spanish streets to explore... This is a very pretty, quaint town, full of little sidestreets, cafes, boutique shops and tapas bars. We didn't go on market-day, but I understand that's well worth the visit too (Tuesday morning) More
