Spectacular setting. Very good greens. Buggies included with the fee. Fairways do not quite reach the same standard as the greens. Impressive clubhouse and facilities and helpful staff. There is a choice of three courses. We played the Americana. Quite a difficult course for high handicappers.

The menu was large, leg of lamb well prepared and tasty, large scrimp as tasty as lobster. Prices moderate, service excellent.

All 3 courses are hilly and recommend tacking a buggy. Most green are elevated and some hidden on approach. Not a course for beginners or or handicaps over 24. Fairways and greens are well kept and traps end to be coarse and heavy sand stone mix. Would play again now that we know where to position ball for next shot.

Nice little restaurants and small town feel but there are plenty of the sual looky looky men constantly going around the bars and beaches which can be tiresome.

We went to the Saturday market and in November it was not crowded. Lots of things to chose from at very good prices. Not a huge market but good for the odd present and Spanish gifts

I recently played the Campo Europa course at the La Cala Resort with 2 friends. Whilst it is easily the most difficult course I have ever played it is truly beautiful. Amazing views, well designed holes and well maintained greens make La Cala a beautiful place to play golf. It was very good value and we had a fantastic morning.... More

La Cala Resort is a very exclusive place, for golfers certainly, but also - I don't indulge in golfing, sorry ! - for people who look for quietness, comfort and quality of service. From there, it's rather easy to discover Andalusia (and not only the not very attractive urbanizations of La Costa del Sol), when you rent a car. I... More
