If going to Porto pay a visit at Taylor's, the best wine cellar in town (even if not the most famous among Porto wines). The guide speaks a perfect English and will explain all the process perfectly. You are also taking a look at the cellars and tasting 3 different wines (not 2 like others). You can even drink it... More

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, well worth a visit!. Some very good ports, particularly the 2009 Vintage. We also went back and ate at the restaurant that evening and had a very good meal.

Taylors is a bit of a walk compared to the cellars by the river however the walk is worth the effort, the guides gave the best talk and history, but the price they charge for port in their shop is more than you pay back in the UK so know your prices back home before buying.

I particularly enjoyed their white port which was served chilled. Our guide was knowledgable. The gardens were pretty, and if you get there early enough which we didn't you may also be able to enjoy food in their restaurant.

A very informative tour of the "Cave Vinho", and you really have to eat at the restaurant, where the views are excellent, as is the food & the service.

We really liked the tour, although we aren't exactly fans of port wine. The best part was our guide. She had a great sense of humor and really knew her material. We gained a lot of inside information and she answered all questions without hesitation. To top it off, the terrace offers a wonderful view over Porto. The visit was... More

A very informative tour and a great tasting experience with a view of the city (and peacock) although it did require some climbing on steep hills.

Very informative visit of these port caves steeped in history. Beautiful setting surrounded by flowers, gardens and peacocks roaming around. The tour itself was very informative, not too long and really interesting to hear about the traditions that are still upheld. 5Euro cost for the tour and 3 ports to taste, with explanations of each port seemed reasonable. Would definitely... More

With time for just one port lodge tour we went to Tripadvisor for advice and decided Taylor's looked a reasonable bet. We weren't unhappy with our decision. Five Euros per person, which includes generous tastes of three ports, the white port before the very informative half-hour tour and then the tawny and the LBV on return to base (the beautifully...
