Visited Taylors Port with an organised group for an evening tour of their cellars, with a tasting, followed by an evening meal. Not only was the guided tour first class, the meal provided could only be considered as high end dining. The food and service were exceptional and the view from the restaurant over the River Douro and the city... More

I've been a huge fan of Taylor Port for 20 years so I couldn't wait to get there. What a complete and total disappointment. I wouldn't waste my time coming here, and I will be looking at other labels to support. The service was so abysmal I can't imagine how it could be worse. WAY over inflated prices as well.... More

A visit in a winery in Vila de Nova is a must. We choosed Taylor's. To be recommended! We enjoyed 3 glasses of porto. Afterwards one is able to enjoy local restaurant. Or, one may want to taste another glass of Port wine. Anyway, with or without restaurant, Taylor's is worth visiting!

Had already done several tours so we just came here for a tasting. The room for tastings is great with a tented ceiling, there are various set options or you dan just choose what you'd like to taste and pay accordingly. There is no pressure to purchase bottles and each ports characteristics are explained and you have as long as... More

In talking to the locals............all of the port houses that line the river essentially offer the same tour and tasting as each other. We did two and were almost identical. Taylor's is located up the hill away from the river, so the views are some of the best from their grounds. Interesting to get some insight into the history of... More

This was the big let down of the holiday! Lack of information or forward planning, disorganised staff, lack of customer service, fly issue and lack of stock in the gift shop. Would of been hard to be worse. Me and two friends had come to Porto specifically to do a few port tours and enjoy the weekend, and as Taylors... More

It's a nice walk from Porto to get to the various Port Cellars across the river, Taylor's is thought of as one of the best...the Prime Minister was visiting while we were there! The groups form in a tasting room and a glass is served. The tour departs and was informative and professional (English available.) After the tour, there are... More

A walk up the hill from the Vila Nova de Gala side of Rio Douro and you enter Taylor's. Upon entering the visitor area you are welcomed by your hosts. The tour including tasting of three ports costs €5 at time of writing this review. The tours are offered in different languages so you may have to wait, but their... More

Both are well worth the visit. The tour is 5 Euro and includes 3 different port wines, very informative. The restaurant is fine dining with a great view fro Gaia over to Oporto, especially at night.

You get a white chip dry, lbv 2010 and 10 year old tawny tasting l plus a tour through cellars for 5 euro. Which is dirt cheap imo. However I prefer de port you get at croft next doors.
