The cable car lift from the top of the bridge down to the port wine houses drops you off almost at the door of Ramos Pinto. For this reason it was our first stop for port wine tasting in Porto. I'm a reasonably knowledgeable port wine drinker and had Ramos Ponto on my must visit list, although I didn't plan... More

I can recommend Casa Ramos Pinto in Gaia. There is an excursion to the museum, wine cellar and tasting two wines. Tours in English are at 14:00 and you pay 6 euros. Moreover, you can buy your favourite wine in a shop in the entry hall. Wonderful!

The visit to Casa Ramos Pinto was suggested to us by the tourist information centre if we wanted to experience a portuguese Port winery. The visit was very interesting and it nicely ended with a tasting of two different types of Port in the main hall of the museum. Definitely recommended!

Although a bit less structured than other places, we really enjoyed our visit here. The lady at the front counter took her time explaining to us the different options available and giving us some basic education on Port wine. We went with her recommendation and really got to sample a nice selection of wines. We received some little note cards... More

As well as the usual port tour this place has preserved the original building and offices as a museum, well worth seeing. Comfortable area to taste the excellent port. Try the red Lagrima, a very different port, this is the only firm that produce it. Going back to Porto tomorrow with a friend on his first visit and will be... More

Our Tour Guide was excellent and did a great job setting the scene for how Adriano Ramos Pinto began his business 1880. Casa Ramos Pinto rapidly became noted, at the time, for its innovative and enterprising strategy. Associated with quality bottled wines, it began operating on the Brazilian market in the early 20th century and quickly became responsible for half... More

We didn't do a tour of the Ramos Pinto lodge, but we did go for a tasting. We chose the Intermediate tasting for 10 Euros. We were seated on a couch, then brought a tray with a flight of 5 different ports. The pours were generous enough for the two of us to share the tasting. What made it more... More

Our tour group visited Casos Ramos Pinto today. We toured their museum, cellar and then had a tasting of white and ruby ports and bought some souvenirs in the shop. The Co. guide was very knowledgeable. The old advertising posters are beautiful and available for purchase.

We were surprised with a tour of the Ramos Pinto museum and a tour of the wine cellar. The art work was great and the tour was informative. After the tour we had a wine tasting of the different types of port. It was fabulous. The guide was knowledgeable and pleasant and made the tour very interesting.
