The Pagoda is within the Freemason neighborhood. This is one of the most beautiful spots in Norfolk. Spring, summer and autumn the garden is beautiful. Here you find one of the best views of the Elizabeth River. It is great place to find a bench and take a break on a long walk, bike ride, training run, or to get... More

Lovely little gardens and pond, right in the middle of an upscale Urban Setting, with attached restaurant (we haven't tried the restaurant yet, though...)

This is an attraction with some food service at times, so the focus is not on the culinary part. As the website said, this should be enjoyed as a nice walk, and appreciating the architecture. I feel it has met the mission statement outlined on the website. When we were there, it was quiet, peaceful, and the sunset was lovely.... More

I was surprised at the quality of the food at such a great location. Great views of the harbor and very scenic gardens. The food was poor and the service was slow. They staff was very pleasant. I wouldn't go again.

Don’t be fooled by the name. The food is American food. There’s no better view than the Pagoda for a Sunday brunch. Definitely grab a seat outside and enjoy the ambiance. There’s also live musicians for your listening pleasure on some days. The food is good and the staff is efficient and polite.

Terribly Disappointed. My wife bought a living social coupon for this place. Called in advance for a reservation. Phone rang and rang and went to voicemail. Should have been a hint of things to come. Called again about an hour later, they took the reservation. I can't comment on the gardens. Our reservation was for 6:15 and it was pitch... More

I enjoy coming here with the family for a walk around the gardens. Great photo opportunities and just plan enjoyable. The restaurant however I recommend skipping, way to many better places to eat.

On the waterfront is a beautiful oriental garden complete with pagoda that is open to the public and can visit the garden without eating/drinking to enjoy. While the Pagoda does serve as a restaurant within the park, you can still go up in the pagoda for a 360 degree view of the garden and fountain below. We did have a... More

The outside is gorgeous. After calling last Saturday and being told that we did not need reservations, we arrived only to find the restaurant closed for a private function. Gave it a try again last night and what a disappointment!! Staff was very aloof and our waitress never updated us as to why things were taking so long - I... More

The food was just ok! It's sad because this place is in a great location and should be more busy then what it was. The place was honestly empty, they had a love band with a total of 4-5 couples. My husbands drink was strong which for him was good. The menu didn't have much on it but we got... More
